IT Manager Unified Commerce
Key Skills
Job Description
Hunkemöller has been dressing women since 1886. Today we serve more than 5 million loyalty members across ~700 stores in 11 countries, webshops in 13 markets, a native app, and a growing partner network. We're in the middle of our biggest commerce transformation in years: we're moving to one unified commerce platform (New Black EVA) for POS, order management, loyalty and our e-commerce backend. We're looking for the leader who will take this domain, and the team behind it, to the next level. YOUR TASKS As Manager Unified Commerce you are accountable for the technology behind every customer interaction: webshop, app, stores, order management, marketplaces, and loyalty and CRM. You set the direction, make the calls on priorities together with business stakeholders, and build a team that owns its products end to end. You don't need to be the one with all the answers. You need to create a team that doesn't depend on you having them. You report to the Head of IT Service Delivery and together with the domain managers for Technology Enablement, Supply Chain & Finance and Business Enablement, you are part of the Service Delivery leadership team. What You'll Do Lead a team. You will coach and develop your team of around 20fte (direct + indirect reports). Your team includes Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, Application Specialists and an Agilist. You support your digital development team in implementing agentic agile ways of working, using AI agents to accelerate delivery while keeping clear human ownership of priorities, quality and outcomes. You give your team clear goals and real mandate, and you hold them accountable for outcomes, not activity. Land the Unified Commerce transformation. You make sure the EVA implementation delivers what the business needs, as the old landscape (Cowhills, SFCC, OIL, Clientele, Intersolve) is phased out. You make sure we end up simpler than we started. Move from reactive to product-led. You shift the domain from ticket-driven support to product roadmaps that follow business value. You bring the business to the table early. Be the partner for the business. You're the counterpart for eCommerce, Retail, CRM/Loyalty, Customer Service, and Marketplaces. You align priorities across them and the strategic Hunkemöller priorities and have trade-off conversations. Run a stable, measurable operation. You make sure the right processes, monitoring and KPIs are in place so the platforms are reliable. You automate workflows where possible to improve operations. You step in on the escalations that need you, and let the team handle the rest. Manage partners and costs. You own the domain budget and the relationships with key partners (among others New Black, Adyen, Bloomreach, Tradebyte). You steer on value, KPIs and commercial terms. Who You Are You have a minimum of 7 years of experience leading technology teams in an agile omnichannel retail environment. Ideally that includes a platform transformation such as OMS, POS or commerce. You get results through people. Your team would describe you as someone who gives ownership and coaches. You understand how modern commerce landscapes fit together (composable, headless, APIs, SaaS). You're comfortable talking architecture without needing to be the architect. You think in products and business outcomes, and you know how to turn a backlog of requests into a roadmap people believe in. You're commercially sharp with vendors and credible with senior business stakeholders. You communicate clearly in English; Dutch is a plus.
