Job Description

Fervonic | Employee #1 Location: Eindhoven (Mostly on-site) Hours: 32-40 hours/week The challenge We are moving our core technology out of the lab and into validated industrial systems with early customers. As our first Integration Engineer, you will work directly alongside the CTO to build, test, and transform a proven high-power concept into robust, safe, and scalable machinery. Your role This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary hardware role. You won’t just be sitting behind a desk; you will build, integrate, wire, and test physical electronics and sub-systems to make the complete system function reliably. Key responsibilities: Hardware and system integration: Wire, assemble, and integrate electrical modules, power supplies, sensors, and controllers into functional test setups and full systems. Lab and field testing: Set up test benches, execute measurements using oscilloscopes and signal generators, and support integration tracks at customer sites. Troubleshooting: Systematically diagnose hardware failures, signal noise, and integration bottlenecks, then implement pragmatic fixes. Documentation and compliance: Create accurate electrical schematics, maintain system documentation, and help ensure machines meet industrial safety standards. Cross-disciplinary collaboration: Interface across mechanical, software, and process engineering domains to bring all components together. Who you are We care about what you have built and how you approach complex hardware integration.Whether you are a motivated graduate with strong project or student team experience (e.g., Solar Team, Formula Student), or have 1-4 years of experience in system building or testing, we want to hear from you. Core technical knowledge: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field with a clear understanding of electrical circuits and hardware behavior. Hands-on skillset: Comfortable reading/drawing schematics, soldering, wiring, and using standard test tools (oscilloscopes, power meters, signal generators). System curiosity: Driven to understand how mechanical, electrical, and thermal components interact. You don’t stop when “your” part works, you care if the whole system works. Pragmatic mindset: Comfortable with the ambiguity of early-stage hardware development. You take ownership, ask direct questions, and fix things when they break. What we offer Direct influence on engineering standards, hardware architecture, and team culture as Fervonic’s Employee #1. Opportunity to take full ownership of system integration today and grow into a broader Systems Engineering role as the company scales. €3,200 – €4,200 gross/month (40h/week, based on experience) + 8% holiday allowance 25 paid vacation days (full-time basis) with options for additional flexible leave Pension scheme and travel allowance Flexible working hours around core lab and testing cycles. How to apply Send your CV together with a short note explaining what interests you about the role and what kind of projects you enjoy working on to [email protected]. Early in your career? If you have strong hands-on experience and match the mindset, apply! We value raw building capability over checklist credentials. Please note: applicants must already have the right to work in the Netherlands. We are not able to provide visa or work-permit sponsorship at this moment.

Core Responsibilities

Assemble, wire, and integrate electrical modules, power supplies, sensors, and controllers into test setups and complete systems. Conduct lab and customer-site testing, troubleshoot hardware and signal issues, document electrical systems, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to support safe, reliable machinery.

Requirements

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is requested, along with a solid understanding of electrical circuits and hardware behavior. Candidates should be comfortable with schematics, soldering, wiring, and standard test equipment; motivated graduates with relevant hands-on projects or candidates with 1–4 years of experience are encouraged to apply.

Benefits

  • Holiday Allowance
  • Paid Vacation Days
  • Flexible Leave
  • Pension Scheme
  • Travel Allowance
  • Flexible Working Hours

About Fervonic

Industry: Industrial Machinery Manufacturing

Company size: 2-10 employees

Fervonic develops ultrasonic heating and temperature measurement technology for industrial polymer processing. Industrial heating hasn’t evolved at the pace of materials innovation. Many production lines still rely on slow, energy-intensive systems that struggle to deliver deep, uniform heating, especially in thick or non-polar polymers. At the same time, manufacturers often lack visibility into what is happening inside the material during processing. The consequences are predictable: long cycle times, excessive energy use, inconsistent quality, complex process tuning, and constraints on product design. At the same time, the world is shifting. Metals are being replaced by advanced polymers. Sustainability targets are tightening. Energy prices remain volatile. Precision manufacturing is no longer optional. Fervonic changes how heat is generated, measured and controlled inside polymer processes. Our ultrasonic technology enables rapid, controlled and energy-efficient heating throughout the material, not just at the surface. The same ultrasonic platform enables non-invasive measurement of internal material temperature, providing the feedback required for intelligent process control. The result is shorter cycles, improved process stability, lower energy consumption, reduced scrap and new freedom in product design. We work with forward-looking manufacturers, machine builders, strategic partners and investors who are ready to move beyond legacy heating and redefine what industrial polymer processing can achieve.
