Role Description The CAD Engineering Intern — Bali, Indonesia at EX Epic Inc. is an internship role, based on-site in Madrid. The intern will support design and engineering teams by creating and modifying 2D and 3D CAD models, preparing technical drawings, and assisting in product design iterations. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers, performing basic design calculations, documenting design changes, and helping maintain organized CAD libraries and project files. The intern will participate in design reviews, contribute ideas to improve product functionality and manufacturability, and ensure that all CAD work aligns with project specifications and quality standards. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Product Design for creating, updating, and optimizing technical models and drawings. Candidates should possess skills in Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering to support product development, design validation, and basic performance analysis. Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Engineering to collaborate on designs involving electronic components and integrated systems. Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field. Familiarity with common CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar) and basic understanding of manufacturing processes. Strong attention to detail, ability to follow engineering standards, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, venture-building environment. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in Madrid and contribute to cross-functional teams.

Core Responsibilities

Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models, prepare technical drawings, and support product design iterations in collaboration with mechanical and electrical engineers. Assist with design calculations, change documentation, CAD library organization, and design reviews while ensuring work meets project specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

Candidates should be enrolled in or have recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field, and be familiar with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360. They should understand basic manufacturing processes, follow engineering standards, communicate and collaborate effectively, and be willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
