Job Description

Would you like to help strengthen compliance, safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement across a high-tech organization? As a QESH Officer at AME, you help maintain and continuously improve compliance across the organization. You support compliance with applicable legislation, management-system standards, cybersecurity requirements, ESG requirements, and Health & Safety requirements. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you play an important role in monitoring new or changed requirements, coordinating follow-up actions, and ensuring that compliance activities, documentation, and evidence are well organized and up to date. You will work with colleagues across the organization as well as external specialists, certification bodies, and other relevant stakeholders. This role is a great fit if you are interested in compliance, enjoy asking questions and following up on actions, and are comfortable raising concerns when requirements may not be met. This is a part-time position of 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week). What you’ll do Monitor new or changed legislation, standards, customer requirements, cybersecurity requirements, and ESG requirements; assess their relevance and potential impact for AME. Coordinate compliance activities and follow up on required actions across the organization. Support the implementation and maintenance of AME’s Integrated Management System, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 27001, IEC 62443, and relevant ESG requirements. Support and advise managers and colleagues on the practical application of Health & Safety requirements, procedures, and improvement actions. Help organize and document emergency-preparedness activities, including evacuation exercises and first-aid/BHV arrangements, and follow up on improvement actions. Monitor Health & Safety-related risks, incidents, trends, and outstanding actions, and report findings and improvement opportunities to relevant stakeholders. Support EcoVadis activities, including evidence collection, assessments, and follow-up actions. Maintain the planning of internal and external audits and support the preparation, communication, documentation, and follow-up of audit activities. Support and gradually take ownership of internal audits, as well as coordinating certification, customer, supplier, and other external audits. Report on compliance status, risks, gaps, and outstanding actions to the Quality Manager and relevant stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement and more efficient, automated ways of monitoring, planning, and reporting compliance activities. Apply a critical and accurate approach to identify potential non-compliance and help ensure AME can demonstrate compliance with applicable requirements. Who are you? You have an HBO/Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field. A technical background is preferred, but a business-oriented background can also be a good fit. You have 0–2 years of relevant experience in compliance, quality, auditing, management systems, ESG, or a related field. Experience is a plus, but motivation and willingness to learn are most important. You have a basic understanding of compliance, management systems, ESG, auditing, or occupational Health & Safety. You work in a structured, accurate, and critical way, with strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, risks, and potential non-compliance. You are comfortable working independently, taking ownership of actions, and following up with others to get things done. You communicate confidently with people at different levels of the organization and are comfortable asking questions and constructively challenging decisions when needed. You have strong communication and collaboration skills. You have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with AI tools is a plus, but not required. You are fluent in English. Why join AME? Have a broad impact across the entire organization, from the factory floor to management. Play an important role in strengthening AME’s compliance and management systems. Work across Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, cybersecurity, and ESG. Develop your expertise through practical experience, training, and guidance from the Quality Manager. Gradually take ownership of audits, compliance activities, and improvement initiatives. Join a fast-growing, international high-tech organization in the heart of Brainport Eindhoven. Work in an open and direct culture with short communication lines and room for professional development.
