Job Description

Transform designs into flawlessly running cleanroom processes and safeguard the technological lead of the global chip industry. As a Product Engineer at Lamers (Aalberts advanced mechatronics), based in Nijmegen, you are the technical right hand of production and the indispensable link in the cleanroom process. You continuously look for the ideal balance between maximum customer value and safeguarding our technological lead. The world of high-tech never stands still. Giants such as ASML and Zeiss raise the bar for precision and speed every single day, requiring a production process that runs flawlessly. In Nijmegen, you directly contribute to this technological race by building complex modules and cabinets that are essential for the chip machines of the future. Your Challenge In this role, you are not a theoretical designer behind a screen, but a hands-on professional who drives the ramp-up of high-tech production on the floor and takes operational quality to a higher level. What you will specifically do: Production Support: Acting as the focal point for complex issues (ENG tickets) that hinder progress and ensuring a continuous production flow. Safeguarding Quality: Performing risk analyses (PFMEA), defining CTQs, and participating in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions to structurally solve issues. New Product Introduction (NPI): Translating customer drawings into work packages, setting up the ERP system, and guiding the first builds in the cleanroom. Stakeholder Management: Coordinating daily with production, planning, quality, and procurement to align everyone toward the same goals. The Aalberts way Aalberts is built on entrepreneurship. We believe that the more space people are given, the greater the chance they will find brilliant solutions for our customers. That’s why we give you the room to take initiative, make your own choices, and make a difference as one team. What you contribute today makes the difference tomorrow—for yourself, for the company, and for our planet. At Aalberts advanced mechatronics, we thrive in a world connected by microchips. We develop leading, custom-made technologies together with semicon OEMs and accelerate their growth through technological breakthroughs. Your profile Dompleted technical degree, for example in Industrial Engineering & Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics. A proactive, quality-conscious, and hands-on mindset; you feel at home in a dynamic environment that isn't always tightly structured. Practical insight: you understand how products are actually made, optimized, and transferred to the shop floor. Strong communication skills in English (priority 1); proficiency in Dutch is an advantage. Resident in the Nijmegen region and driven to become an active pillar of the team. What You Get in Return Working at Aalberts advanced mechatronics means operating at the highest level of the international tech industry. Salary between €3,000 and €4,700 gross per month (full-time), depending on your experience and background. 24 vacation days + 13 ADV days (reduction of working hours, with the option to be paid out). Employment terms and pension plan in accordance with the Metaal & Techniek Collective Labor Agreement (CAO) via NN. Clear career progression opportunities toward roles such as Process Engineer or Project Engineer. The opportunity to contribute to the growth of Lamers in an environment where entrepreneurship and ownership are truly valued. Why Work at Aalberts? A globally renowned company committed to mission-critical technologies. We offer diverse teams of driven colleagues who want to make an impact together, alongside plenty of opportunities for professional growth and development. Think independently, but act as one team. Together, we create today what makes the difference tomorrow. Ready to Make a Difference? Are you interested in a role that transforms technology into added value? Or do you have questions that aren't answered in this text? Please contact Maik Litjens (Recruiter) at [email protected]. (Agency acquisition in response to this vacancy is not appreciated. Resumes sent unsolicited by agencies will be treated as direct applications from the candidate.)
