Job Description

Do you enjoy combining technology with sales and building long-term relationships with technical customers? At Electrometric, we don’t sell standard products from a catalogue. We provide specialist test and measurement solutions used by engineers, laboratories, universities, energy companies and advanced technical environments. You get the freedom to manage your own market, build strong customer relationships and develop new business opportunities. Your role: As a Sales Engineer, your focus will be on the test & measurement market in the Netherlands. You will work with both existing and new customers and act as their commercial and technical point of contact. You start by understanding the customer’s technical challenge and what they want to achieve. From there, you advise on a suitable solution and guide the customer through the options. You don’t need to have every technical answer yourself. For more complex questions, you can always involve our application engineers, colleagues and international manufacturers. You will: Build and maintain relationships with existing customers and develop new business opportunities; Translate technical customer needs into suitable solutions, proposals and quotations. Manage the full sales process, from the first conversation and technical proposal to quotation, negotiation and follow-up; Manage your own sales territory, pipeline and follow-up in a structured way. Work closely with application engineers and international manufacturers to find the best technical solution; Take ownership of specific product lines and keep up with relevant technical and market developments; Use customer insights, market information and competitor activity to help decide which sectors to approach next. You will manage the full commercial cycle: from the first conversation and technical proposal to pricing, quotation, negotiation and follow-up on service-related questions. That means you are not just selling products but building long-term relationships and helping customers make the right technical choice. What do we offer? At Electrometric, you get the freedom to work independently while being part of a compact and experienced team. The role is remote, so you can work from home and meet colleagues at the office when needed for consultation, onboarding, product training or team meetings. You plan your own days, manage your own customer relationships and have a direct influence on how we develop our market. You will join a compact organisation where decisions are made quickly and your ideas and market insights genuinely matter. You can expect: An excellent salary based on your knowledge and experience, plus a 13th month. A lease car and a bonus scheme of up to three monthly salaries. Clear and realistic targets, set together in consultation. Remote work with occasional office meetings for collaboration and training. Real ownership in a role where your decisions directly influence growth. Access to high-tech products from leading international manufacturers. Room to develop into a specialist within Test & Measurement, supported by colleagues, manufacturers and application engineers. Who you are You enjoy technical sales and know that strong customer relationships are built over time. You are curious, commercially minded and comfortable talking to engineers, R&D managers and technical specialists. You bring: A background in electronics, electrical engineering, technical sales or a related technical field; Experience in technical sales, account management, business development or selling technical products; Preferably knowledge of Test & Measurement products or applications, such as oscilloscopes, AC/DC power or electrical safety equipment; The ability to work independently and organise your own customer visits, activities and sales pipeline; Experience preparing commercial proposals, quotations and pricing; A proactive approach and the persistence to develop long-term customer relationships; Fluent English. Dutch is a strong advantage; Good working knowledge of MS Office. Experience with CRM systems is an advantage. You don’t need to be the most technical person in the room. What matters is that you can understand the customer’s challenge, ask the right questions and know when to involve specialist expertise and can move opportunities forward. Working at Electrometric At Electrometric, you work in a small team with short communication lines. You will learn the products, markets and customer applications step by step, supported by colleagues, training and direct contact with manufacturers. Because the team is compact, your role is broad.
