Full Stack Developer | Java, React, AI-Assisted Development Up to €100 per hour - 40-hour working week Amsterdam - 2 days per week in the office, remote working otherwise Initial 6-month contract About the Client Digital Skills are working with a Global Technology Company that delivers large-scale digital products used by millions of customers worldwide. The organisation is investing in customer-facing platforms and is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to help deliver new product capabilities within an established engineering environment. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to join a mature engineering team working on high-impact customer products. You will play a key role in developing modern user interfaces, collaborating with backend engineers and product teams, and delivering scalable solutions within a large enterprise technology environment. Responsibilities Develop and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript. Design and build customer-facing product features from concept through to production. Collaborate with backend engineers, UX designers, product teams and QA specialists. Build and maintain connectivity layers using Node.js and related technologies. Write and maintain unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability. Contribute to frontend architecture decisions and promote engineering best practices. Work with containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Participate in CI/CD processes and support cloud-based application deployments. Contribute to experimentation and data-driven product development initiatives, including A/B testing. Collaborate across multiple teams within a large-scale enterprise environment. Desired Skills and Experience Minimum 4 years of commercial Java software development experience. Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript development. Proven experience building applications with React. Experience with Node.js in production environments. Knowledge of GraphQL would be advantageous. Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web design. Experience working with large and complex codebases. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes. Exposure to cloud-native environments, preferably AWS. Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting and incident response practices. Knowledge of analytics, customer engagement measurement and A/B testing methodologies. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering productivity platforms. Summary of the Best Candidate The ideal candidate will be an experienced Full Stack Developer with a background working within large-scale enterprise organisations. You will have extensive experience with React, TypeScript and Node.js, alongside a proven ability to navigate complex codebases and collaborate across multiple teams.

Core Responsibilities

Develop and maintain customer-facing web applications and product features using React, TypeScript, Java, and Node.js, including connectivity layers and unit tests. Collaborate with engineering, product, UX, and QA teams on architecture, scalable delivery, containerized applications, CI/CD, cloud deployments, and data-driven experimentation.

Requirements

Requires at least four years of commercial Java development experience, strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills, and proven experience with React and production Node.js. Candidates should also have experience with complex codebases, Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud environments, monitoring and incident response, and analytics or A/B testing; GraphQL and AI-assisted development tools are advantageous.
