Job Description

Introduction to the job As a Competence Engineer Drive Laser, you are the technical authority for one of the most critical subsystems within our EUV systems. You solve complex technical disturbances, drive structural improvements and ensure new drive laser solutions are introduced safely and effectively into manufacturing. Working closely with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Development & Engineering and Field support teams, you play a key role in maximizing system performance, quality and availability. Role & Responsibilities Resolve complex drive laser disturbances and lead technical problem-solving activities. Manage technical escalations and drive structural solutions to prevent repeat issues. Qualify drive lasers after module replacements and verify performance against specifications. Review technical solutions, action plans and work procedures to ensure quality and manufacturability. Assess technical risks and support the introduction of new products, technologies and processes. Act as the manufacturing subject matter expert for drive laser-related topics. Collaborate with Engineering and other stakeholders to improve system reliability and manufacturing performance. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Aerospace Engineering or Automotive Engineering. Candidates with an MBO background are also encouraged to apply when combined with significant hands-on troubleshooting and qualification experience. Experience working with complex technical systems in a high-tech manufacturing, testing, integration or service environment. Experience in commissioning, qualification, troubleshooting or performance optimization is considered a strong advantage. Skills Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving skills. Other Information This position is based in Veldhoven, The Netherlands This position operates in a 2-shift environment (Early shift: 06:30 – 15:30, Late shift: 15:00 – 00:00), You will work one weekend each month Occasional international travel may be required for training and support activities. You will report directly to the Team Lead. For this position, the expected fixed annual salary is between € 55,000,- and €65.000,-. This amount includes holiday allowance and a 13th-month payment and is based on a full-time contract. Profit sharing will come on top of the fixed annual salary. Because this is a shift position, you will receive a shift allowance on top of your salary. Your final salary will depend on factors such as your skills, education, work experience, certifications, and performance during the selection process. Relocating to the Netherlands? Core Responsibilities

Qualify replacement drive lasers, review technical plans and procedures, assess risks, and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve system performance, quality, and reliability.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or applied physics field is sought; candidates with an MBO background may also apply if they have significant hands-on troubleshooting and qualification experience. Candidates should have experience with complex technical systems in high-tech manufacturing, testing, integration, or service, along with strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and quality-focused skills.
