About The Job As a Banqueting Shift Leader, you are the point of contact for meetings, parties, and events at Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam. You ensure that every room is perfectly set up according to the guests’ wishes and you lead your team to deliver a flawless experience from start to finish. You prepare every banqueting room in detail, check the setup, and make sure everyone knows their tasks. During events, you coordinate the workflow, support colleagues, and step in where needed to keep everything running smoothly. You work together with other departments, such as breakfast, lunch, or dinner, when the schedule allows. You are proactive, organized, and manage your time and team well. Planning, communication, and leadership come naturally to you. LEONARDO ROYAL HOTEL AMSTERDAM The newest hotel of our company is located directly at the Overamstel metro station. The location of this 4-star superior hotel is ideal: 5 minutes from the Zuidas and the RAI, 10 minutes from the city center and 20 minutes from Schiphol Airport. The hotel has 18 floors and 490 rooms with a fresh, innovative design and high quality modern equipment. The 1,200 square meters of conference space is spread over 11 meeting rooms and a gigantic ballroom; the perfect location for large events and conferences! Job Requirements WHAT MAKES YOU THE PERFECT BREAKFAST SHIFT LEADER? You have experience in hospitality, banqueting, or a similar operational leadership role. You bring energy and enthusiasm, motivating your team to deliver outstanding service. You are proactive, hands‑on, and a strong team player who leads by example. You communicate clearly and confidently in Dutch and English (additional languages are a plus). You are flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed. To be considered for this role, applicants must be an EU citizen or hold a valid work permit for the Netherlands. Requirements

Applicants should have experience in hospitality, banqueting, or a similar operational leadership role, with strong communication, planning, and team leadership abilities. Dutch and English communication skills, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and EU citizenship or a valid Netherlands work permit are required.
