Job Overview We are looking for an experienced accountant to support the monthly and year-end closing of our NL and UK entities. In this role, you will work closely with the Closing Lead and the F&A Team Leader. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3 to 5 years of accounting experience Hands-on experience with month-end closing and external audits Working knowledge of SAP FI (other ERP experience considered) Understanding of Dutch GAAP or IFRS; knowledge of UK GAAP is a plus Fluent English, written and spoken Accurate, structured and comfortable working to tight closing deadlines Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Nice to have Experience with multi-entity closing or consolidation Experience in a manufacturing or distribution company Key Responsibilities Support the monthly closing of NL and UK entity, including accruals, provisions and closing adjustments Review general ledger entries and prepare balance sheet reconciliations Perform intercompany and internal reconciliations (AR/AP, revenue and cost of sales) with HQ and group entities Prepare supporting schedules and respond to auditor queries during interim and year-end audits Provide closing data for HQ reporting and management reports What we offer A salary that ranges between €4,200 and €4,800 gross per month Pension plan Commuting benefit Vitality Benefit (€50 a month) Lease Bike Option 25 days of paid time off Company laptop & phone Free Accident & WIA Gap insurance Great office location in the centre of Amstelveen An international team of highly skilled colleagues The opportunity to learn and grow your career in Finance Salary 4200 - 4800 EUR (monthly)

Core Responsibilities

Support monthly and year-end closing for the Netherlands and UK entities, including accruals, provisions, closing adjustments, general ledger reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations. Perform intercompany and internal reconciliations, prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor queries, and provide closing data for headquarters and management reporting.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 3–5 years of accounting experience are required, including hands-on month-end closing and external audit experience. Candidates should have working knowledge of SAP FI or another ERP, understanding of Dutch GAAP or IFRS (UK GAAP is a plus), fluent written and spoken English, and the ability to work accurately and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
