Job Overview We are looking for an accounting professional with solid VAT knowledge to support tax compliance, accounts payable, and month-end closing for our entities in the Netherlands and the UK. You will prepare tax data and filings, review them with the F&A Team Leader, and coordinate with external tax advisors. With a new European entity planned for 2027, this role also offers the opportunity to develop into a broader tax-focused position. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Tax 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting, including VAT compliance Hands-on experience with accounts payable and month-end closing Knowledge of EU cross-border VAT; UK VAT experience is a plus Working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system Fluent English, written and spoken Accurate, structured and eager to develop tax expertise Nice to have Exposure to transfer pricing or intercompany accounting Experience in a manufacturing or distribution company Key Responsibilities Tax Prepare VAT returns for the Netherlands and the UK, ICP declarations and CBS statistical reporting, and review them with the F&A Team Leader before filing Collect intercompany transaction data for the transfer pricing Local File and coordinate with external advisors Prepare corporate income tax workpapers and supporting data for the F&A Team Leader's review Accounts payable Process accounts payable for SG&A Verify VAT treatment on supplier invoices, including reverse charge and import VAT Month-end closing Prepare AP accruals and tax-related closing entries Reconcile VAT and tax accounts Perform intercompany reconciliations with HQ and group entities What we offer A salary that ranges between €3,700 and €4,500 gross per month Pension plan Commuting benefit Vitality Benefit (€50 a month) Lease Bike Option 25 days of paid time off Company laptop & phone Free Accident & WIA Gap insurance Great office location in the centre of Amstelveen An international team of highly skilled colleagues The opportunity to learn and grow your career in Finance Salary 3700 - 4500 EUR (monthly)

Core Responsibilities

Prepare and support VAT returns, ICP declarations, statistical reports, transfer pricing data, and corporate income tax workpapers for the Netherlands and UK entities, coordinating reviews with the F&A Team Leader and external tax advisors. Process SG&A accounts payable, verify supplier invoice VAT treatment, prepare tax-related month-end entries, and reconcile VAT, tax, and intercompany accounts.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax and 2–4 years of accounting experience, including VAT compliance, accounts payable, and month-end closing, are required. Candidates should have EU cross-border VAT knowledge, working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP, fluent written and spoken English, and a structured, accurate approach; UK VAT experience is a plus.
