As a (Junior) Business Controller, you will work in a dynamic environment on a wide range of strategic and policy-related financial issues. Your Responsibilities Include Supporting budgets, quarterly reports and financial analyses for different parts of the organisation; Working together with colleagues to prepare management information and organisation-wide reports; Analysing financial developments and identifying opportunities for improvement; Contributing ideas on how data, automation and technology can be applied within Finance; Improving processes and reports to help colleagues gain faster and better insights; Supporting a variety of financial and business-related questions from across the organisation. Depending on your experience, interests and development, we will work with you to determine which responsibilities best suit you. Your team The Corporate Finance & Control (CF&C) department is responsible for WUR's financial policy and financial information at corporate level. CF&C consists of two teams: Corporate Business Control and Financial Accounting & Internal Control. You will join the Corporate Business Control team. Together with your colleagues, you will work on budgets, reports, analyses and financial issues that directly contribute to the strategic direction and development of WUR. At the same time, we help the organisation work smarter by further automating processes and exploring and applying new technologies. Your qualities You are curious, analytical and motivated to continuously develop yourself. In Addition, You Have A completed Master’s degree, for example in Business Economics, Business Administration, Econometrics, Data Science or a related field; An affinity with numbers, data and technology; An interest in automation, AI and the opportunities these offer within Finance; A proactive attitude and the motivation to learn new things; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Dutch speaking and writing skills are required for this position (B1 level). Experience with automation, digital tools or data analysis is a plus, but certainly not a requirement. What matters most to us is that you are eager to learn and develop yourself. You will work alongside experienced Business Controllers who will introduce you to the profession and gradually give you more responsibility. This way, you will develop step by step from a junior financial professional into an independent Business Controller. We offer Wageningen University & Research offers excellent terms of employment . We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €3.554,- and €5.698,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 10). Additionally, for this role a contract for 32 hours can be discussed. We initially offer a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and depending on the organisation’s financial situation. Requirements
