THE TEAM
As part of our Food & Beverage team, you will help create exceptional dining experiences that celebrate the connection between world-class cuisine and outstanding wines. Working closely with Restaurant Managers, culinary teams, and service professionals, you will contribute to a culture of excellence, passion, and genuine hospitality. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in elevating the guest experience through your wine expertise and commitment to personalized service.
YOUR ROLE
As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for curating memorable dining experiences through expert wine recommendations, thoughtful pairings, and exceptional service. Combining your knowledge of wines, gastronomy, and hospitality, you will guide guests through our wine collection while supporting the development and management of the beverage program. Your contribution will help create unforgettable dining moments, strengthen guest loyalty, and uphold the luxury service standards that define the Rosewood experience.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
- Provide expert wine recommendations and food pairing suggestions tailored to guest preferences and culinary offerings.
- Deliver attentive, personalized wine service in accordance with luxury hospitality standards.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the wine list, including vintages, wine regions, producers, and emerging trends.
- Manage the wine cellar, ensuring effective inventory control, stock rotation, and ordering processes.
- Support the development and maintenance of the wine list in collaboration with restaurant leadership.
- Train and inspire restaurant associates on wine knowledge, beverage offerings, and service excellence.
COULD THIS BE YOU?
- You have experience as a Sommelier within an upscale, fine dining, or luxury hospitality environment.
- You possess extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, beverage service, and food pairing principles.
- You hold, or are working towards, a recognized wine qualification such as WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or equivalent.
- You are passionate about wine, gastronomy, and continuously expanding your expertise.
- You communicate confidently and enjoy building genuine connections with guests through engaging and personalized service.
- You thrive in a fast-paced luxury dining environment while maintaining impeccable attention to detail and professionalism.

Core Responsibilities
The Sommelier is responsible for providing expert wine recommendations and personalized service to enhance the guest dining experience. They also manage the wine cellar, maintain inventory, and train restaurant staff on beverage offerings.
Requirements
Candidates must have experience in an upscale or luxury hospitality environment and possess extensive knowledge of wines and food pairing principles. A recognized wine qualification such as WSET or Court of Master Sommeliers is required or currently being pursued.
