Expert(e) Adyen Freelance
Key Skills
Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Expert(e) Adyen Freelance based in Netherlands.
This freelance role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on payment performance across a portfolio of international SaaS products. You will take ownership of auditing, stabilizing, and optimizing Adyen integrations, with a strong focus on recurring and subscription-based payments. Working closely with payment, technology, and product teams, you will help improve authorization and renewal rates while strengthening fraud, risk, and dispute management. The mission combines technical expertise with strategic recommendations and hands-on implementation. You will operate with significant autonomy in a remote, multi-product environment where results are closely tracked. The assignment is designed for an experienced specialist who can become operational quickly and deliver tangible improvements from the first weeks.
\n- Audit existing Adyen integrations, configurations, and payment flows across multiple SaaS products.
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices for recurring payments, 3DS2, SCA, webhooks, and related payment processes.
- Analyze authorization and renewal performance and implement measures to improve payment success rates.
- Support risk, fraud prevention, chargeback, and dispute-management initiatives.
- Assess payment flows and configurations across different products, adapting recommendations to each product's specific context and priorities.
- Document findings, recommendations, and implemented solutions clearly for internal teams.
- Transfer knowledge and best practices to payment, technology, and product stakeholders to strengthen internal capabilities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in payment-related roles, with confirmed to senior-level expertise.
- Strong hands-on experience integrating and optimizing Adyen in production environments, specifically for recurring or subscription-based payments; experience limited to one-off e-commerce transactions is not sufficient for this role.
- Advanced knowledge of Adyen APIs, Customer Area, and risk-management tools.
- Strong understanding of 3DS2/SCA, authorization-rate optimization, payment retries, account updater processes, and chargeback management.
- Experience with a billing orchestrator is highly valued, while knowledge of other payment service providers is a plus.
- Previous experience working with Adyen directly, as a solution or implementation engineer, or within a B2C SaaS subscription or marketplace environment is advantageous.
- Strong autonomy and ownership, with the ability to audit, prioritize, and deliver independently without extensive supervision.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills, with the ability to make complex payment topics accessible to product and technology teams.
- Strong analytical rigor and a results-oriented mindset focused on measurable business outcomes.
- Fluent French, as it is the primary working language.
- Professional fluency in English, which is the secondary working language and will be assessed during the recruitment process.
Benefits:
- 3–4 month full-time freelance mission with an ASAP start.
- High-impact assignment directly influencing revenue and payment performance across multiple SaaS products.
- 100% remote work from Europe with significant freedom in organizing your schedule.
- International and multi-product environment with varied payment challenges and priorities.
- Direct collaboration with senior payment leadership and close interaction with technology and product teams.
- Opportunity to bring specialized Adyen expertise to a growing SaaS environment and transfer knowledge to internal teams.
- Flexible, autonomous working culture focused on ownership, transparency, continuous improvement, and measurable impact.
- Professional development opportunities and exposure to diverse SaaS products and international payment environments.

About Jobgether
Industry: Internet Marketplace Platforms
Company size: 11-50 employees
Jobgether is a career navigation platform built for senior professionals competing in the remote job market. Hiring systems were designed for volume and keyword matching, not for 15 or 20 years of nonlinear experience. That structural mismatch is why strong profiles get filtered out before a human ever sees them. Our platform diagnoses where a search is breaking, corrects how experience is positioned, and connects professionals to the companies where their background creates real value. The goal is not more applications. It is the right visibility in the right places. Our mission is to ensure no senior professional remains invisible in the global remote market, not because they lack the skills, but because the system failed to read them correctly.
