Job Description
Ensures the temple ordinances are kept pure, recorded accurately and made available to worthy Church members by:
- Providing an environment where patrons may have a positive and uplifting experience each time they come to the temple.
- Maintaining and operating temples at standards established by the First Presidency.
Responsibilities
- Provide a positive patron and worker experience through warm and welcoming interactions.
- Regularly supervise and/or provide training to employees and volunteers.
- Ensure understanding of and compliance to established policies and procedures.
- Oversee the completion of scheduling appointments, recording ordinances, and other
administrative tasks. - Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Lead special projects as directed by the temple recorder.
- Manage inventory and budget of needed supplies.
- Manage any necessary legal and regulatory documentation and verify and review ordinance
paperwork. - Assists with other responsibilities as assigned by the temple recorder.
Qualifications
2 years of any combination of related experience or progress towards or completion of a relevant university (post-secondary) degree or an industry-recognized certification, to include:
Former work-related leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage others.
Proficiency with computers and other technology, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to sensitively handle confidential information.
Ability to work on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Professional level of Dutch is required for this position.
Preferred
3 years of relevant experience.
Previous supervisory experience.
Proficiency with the Temple Information System (TIS).
Experience as a temple worker.
Core Responsibilities
The supervisor ensures temple ordinances are recorded accurately and maintained according to established standards. They also manage staff, oversee administrative tasks, and provide a welcoming environment for temple patrons.
Requirements
Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant leadership experience or a post-secondary degree, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. A professional level of Dutch is required, and the candidate must be available to work on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
