About this opportunity:

Are you an experienced network engineer who enjoys working on complex IP infrastructure in a real customer environment? We are looking for a Network automation engineer IP-infra to strengthen our team in Maastricht. In this role, you will work across the full lifecycle of IP network solutions: from design and lab validation to integration, implementation, and final acceptance. You will join a skilled team of telecom and IT professionals, work with modern technologies, and help deliver reliable, high-impact network solutions for our customers.

What you will do?

As a Network Automation Engineer IP-INFRA, you will:

  • Design, implement, and maintain and automat network solutions within IP infrastructure environments.
  • Translate high-level and low-level designs into robust implementation plans and technical configurations.
  • Develop and maintain network automation frameworks using Python, Ansible, and modern API-driven technologies.
  • Build, configure, and maintain lab environments for testing, validation, and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Execute network changes in compliance with change management and operational excellence practices.
  • Analyze network performance, conduct capacity planning, and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Support deployment and operations teams with advanced technical expertise and troubleshooting.
  • Lead technical discussions with customers and provide guidance on architecture, automation strategies, and technology choices.
  • Develop technical documentation, solution designs, presentations, and customer proposals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.

What We Are Looking For?


You recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCDP, DevNet, or equivalent) or willingness to obtain them.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IP networking, infrastructure engineering, or network automation.
  • Proven experience developing automation solutions using Python and Ansible.
  • Experience working with automation frameworks, APIs, and modern DevOps methodologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with network design, implementation, migration, and operational support.
  • Experience working in complex Service Provider, Enterprise, or Data Center environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a structured and detail-oriented approach to solving complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Dutch language skills are considered a strong advantage.
