Maintenance Engineer | Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing | Sassenheim, Netherlands Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment and driving operational excellence? We are supporting a leading global healthcare and life sciences organization in the search for a Maintenance Engineer to join a newly commissioned manufacturing facility in Sassenheim. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and coordinating maintenance activities across a diverse range of production and utility systems. Key Responsibilities Lead and support troubleshooting activities on manufacturing equipment and utility systems Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities Prioritize maintenance work based on operational needs and equipment criticality Partner closely with internal stakeholders to communicate maintenance status and set priorities Drive root cause investigations and implement sustainable solutions Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives Manage technical knowledge and maintenance documentation Define and optimize spare parts strategies Support project activities and maintenance readiness requirements Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification 3-7 years of maintenance engineering experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environments Strong troubleshooting experience with industrial production equipment Experience coordinating maintenance activities and external vendors Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance methodologies Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools and techniques Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Fluency in English; Dutch is advantageous Why This Opportunity? Core Responsibilities

Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent technical qualification, along with 3–7 years of maintenance engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. Candidates should have strong industrial equipment troubleshooting and maintenance coordination experience, familiarity with RCA and CMMS such as SAP, and strong communication skills; English fluency is required, while Dutch is advantageous.
