Envu is proud to be Great Place to Work Certified in the U.S., France and India (June 2025 – June 2026) FUNCTION: Product Supply LOCATION: Wageningen, The Netherlands JOB TYPE: Permanent JOB GRADE: 5 GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA: Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficiency and meet production targets. Train and supervise production staff, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Maintain and troubleshoot production machinery to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime. We are looking for a person who enjoys working with people and is passionate about leading, developing, and motivating a team. The key responsibility of this role is to lead the production workforce. The current workforce pool consists of approximately 50 employees, with around 25 employees scheduled per shift. As a result, the Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that all production positions are adequately staffed and that operations run smoothly. The Team Lead will be supported by four supervisors. An essential requirement for this position is a proven track record of successfully leading teams for a minimum of three years. Strong people management, communication, and leadership skills are critical to success in this role. In addition, we highly value the experience and best practices that potential Team Leads have gained in other organizations. YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO: Production Planning & Coordination Schedule and assign tasks to production staff to ensure smooth operations. Monitor production workflow and adjust schedules to meet deadlines efficiently. Ensure optimal use of materials, equipment, and labor to maximize productivity. Staff Training & Supervision Train new employees on production processes, safety protocols, and quality standards. Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance team performance. Ensure all staff follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace safety guidelines. Machine Maintenance & Process Optimization Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of production machines. Identify and resolve technical issues to prevent production delays. Work on process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Quality Control & Compliance Ensure that all production activities meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor raw materials and finished products to maintain consistency and quality. Implement and enforce health and safety regulations in the production area. Production Support & Material Preparation Assist in the mixing and preparation of powders. Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to maintain quality and prevent contamination. Support the production team in daily operations, troubleshooting issues, and improving workflow. ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE? Main requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong leadership and team management skills to train and coordinate production staff. Technical knowledge of machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to optimize workflows and ensure efficient production processes. Attention to detail in material preparation and quality control. Problem-solving skills to handle production challenges effectively. Strong communication and collaboration with crossfunctional teams. Experience in production operations, including scheduling, training, and machine maintenance. Oversee machinery maintenance, material preparation, troubleshooting, and process improvements to support efficient production and reduce delays and waste.
Requirements
Requires a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, production management, or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with production operations experience. Candidates must have at least three years of successful team leadership experience and demonstrate strong people-management, communication, machinery troubleshooting, workflow optimization, and quality-control skills.
