Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Member of the commercial leadership team Team: Product Owner(s), the operations team, and management of our external nearshore development partner Location & way of working: Amsterdam head office, minimum 4 days a week on-site, with occasional travel across our markets. Brands in scope: TrainMore, Gymbox, Clubsportive, The CLB, RUSH, PILAT3S, TRIB3 Urban Gym Group (UGG) is one of Europe’s fastest-growing premium fitness groups. We run 70+ clubs and studios across the Netherlands, the UK, Ireland and Dubai through seven distinctive brands: TrainMore, Gymbox, Clubsportive, The CLB, RUSH, PILAT3S and TRIB3. This role makes sure that platform runs reliably, keeps up with our growth and delivers real value to marketing, sales and the rest of the business. Purpose of the role You hold strategic and operational end responsibility for UGG’s entire digital platform domain. You make sure the core systems and the product owner team run reliably while demonstrably delivering value to the broader organisation. You are the central point of contact for all customer-facing platform vendors, and you own vendor escalations and incidents directly, freeing the CCO to focus on the commercial agenda. Key responsibilities Strategy, roadmap and prioritisation Set the platform and product strategy across all brands. Translate commercial priorities into a clear roadmap and capacity plan. Turn the needs of marketing, sales and other departments into platform capacity — and make sharp prioritisation calls. Team leadership and delivery Lead the Product Owner(s) and the operations team. Steer the external development team on outcomes, pace and quality. Own the sprint rhythm and delivery. Oversee system configuration and issue resolution: incidents handled quickly, configuration clean and consistent across brands. Core systems, vendors and data Hold end responsibility for our member management and marketing automation software — roadmap commitments, releases, integrations and incident management. Manage the relationships with platform vendors and our nearshore development partner on SLA, cost and agreed commitments. Work closely with BI and IT to safeguard data quality across the platform. Run migrations and data-cleaning projects as a shared responsibility with BI/IT. Budget and governance Own the platform budget. Report on progress and risk. Safeguard security together with Finance and IT. What you bring Must-haves Proven experience in a Product Owner leadership role or similar, in a SaaS or digitally driven environment. Demonstrated leadership of Product Owners and of internal or external development teams. Experience with vendor and contract management, and with steering remote teams. A track record of thriving in a fast-growing environment, where priorities shift quickly and structure is still forming. Strong ability to move between board level and technical detail. Proven success applying AI in a product or platform context, e.g. automating workflows, accelerating delivery, with measurable impact. Nice-to-haves Affinity with membership or fitness software. What success looks like (first 12 months) You've invested in your team. Your Product Owners and operations team have room to grow, and you help them unlock their full potential. A clear, cross-brand platform roadmap and capacity plan, agreed with the business and delivered in a steady sprint rhythm. Vendors and the nearshore partner managed against clear SLAs, cost and commitments. Cleaner, more consistent configuration and data across brands, with migrations run jointly with BI/IT. Core Responsibilities
Lead the strategy, roadmap, budget, and delivery of the digital platform across the company’s brands, managing Product Owners, operations, and the external development partner. Own platform vendors, core systems, incidents, integrations, data quality initiatives, and security governance in collaboration with BI, IT, and Finance.
Requirements
Requires proven leadership of Product Owners and internal or external development teams in a SaaS or digitally driven environment, along with vendor and contract management experience. Candidates should be commercially and strategically strong, comfortable with ambiguity and technical detail, and have measurable success applying AI in a product or platform context.
