Job Description As a Cloud Technical Engineer, you support customers in removing technical barriers during the tenant landing phase and beyond within the T-Systems Public Cloud environment. You accelerate adoption by designing and building hands-on solutions, enabling integrations, and demonstrating platform capabilities in real customer environments. This role requires a strong foundation in cloud technologies combined with a deep understanding of the TCP/IP stack, as networking is a core component of the platform and comparable in complexity to hyperscalers such as AWS. Key Responsibilities: Translate customer requirements into scalable cloud solutions within T-Systems Public Cloud Design and build hands-on demos, prototypes, and proofs of concept (POCs) Guide customers through tenant onboarding and landing zone setup Identify technical, architectural, and organizational risks early and mitigate them Support integrations between cloud environments and existing customer infrastructures (on-premise and hybrid) Collaborate closely with sales and solution teams while maintaining a strong technical focus Accelerate customer adoption by removing implementation blockers Contribute across the full lifecycle: discovery, design, implementation, and optimization Qualifications Strong understanding of cloud architecture and the full cloud stack (IaaS, PaaS, networking, security) Experience with cloud platforms comparable to AWS, Azure, or GCP Deep understanding of the TCP/IP stack (core requirement) Strong networking knowledge (routing, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, connectivity patterns) Hands-on experience with APIs, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, scripting) Experience building demos, POCs, and rapid prototypes Experience integrating cloud platforms into enterprise IT environments Solid understanding of security, compliance, and governance Profile: High-energy, pragmatic, and results-driven Strong ownership and ability to work independently Solution-oriented mindset: focused on possibilities rather than limitations Able to move fast and deliver working solutions within days Comfortable in customer-facing environments Additional Information Soft Skills: Strong technical storytelling and presentation skills Able to deliver impactful live demos to both technical and business stakeholders Knows when to challenge, guide, and listen Works effectively with sales teams without becoming overly commercial Strong communication and stakeholder management skills All our positions are open to both women and men and are, of course, open to people with disabilities.
Core Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable solutions in the T-Systems Public Cloud, including demos, prototypes, and proofs of concept, while guiding customers through onboarding and landing zone setup. Identify and mitigate risks, integrate cloud environments with existing infrastructure, and support customers throughout discovery, implementation, and optimization.
Requirements
Requires strong cloud architecture knowledge, hands-on experience with cloud platforms, APIs, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and enterprise integrations. Deep TCP/IP and networking expertise is essential, along with security and governance knowledge, independent problem-solving, and strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
