What We Ask Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience in a corporate or consulting environment. Knowledge of risk management principles, including ERM frameworks, risk assessments, governance, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical skills with an understanding of business processes, geopolitical developments, and their potential business impact. Effective communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to work across multicultural and international teams. Proven ability to manage projects, drive change, work independently, and propose practical solutions to complex issues. High level of integrity, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure. Proactive, results-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement, with a curious mindset and constructive skepticism. Employment benefits: Salary between €5,250 and €7,150 gross per month (full-time), depending on experience and fit for the role. A work week of 38 hours, a 5% year-end allowance, 12,5% bonus, 8% holiday allowance and a pension scheme. Hybrid working, a train card and/or €0.23 per km (max. 30 km one way). 200 hours of annual leave, with the option to buy or sell up to 40 hours. Extras at the head office, such as milk and cheese during lunch, fresh fruit and barista coffee. Vacancy Description As risk manager, you help FrieslandCampina understand and navigate uncertainty. You connect external developments, business risks, and strategic priorities, providing leaders with the insights and challenges they need to make risk-informed decisions. Your daily work combines analysis, facilitation, advisory, and reporting. You will facilitate risk assessments with Business Groups, Operating Companies, discuss an emerging geopolitical risk with a senior leader, or analyze how market, regulation, or sustainability developments could affect the organization. Your key responsibilities include: Facilitating Enterprise Risk Assessments across the organization. Conducting continuous risk dialogues with senior leaders and risk owners Identifying and assessing emerging risks. Developing scenarios that translate uncertainty into potential business impacts Challenging assumptions and advising on risk exposure, risk appetite and appropriate treatments. Monitoring risk indicators, trends, and the progress of agreed risk treatment plans. Preparing risk reports for senior management, the Executive Board and the Audit & Risk Committee. Maintaining the ERM administration and ensuring completeness, and integrity of risk data. Improving ERM methodologies, policies, dashboards, and reporting. Promoting a risk culture in which risks are openly discussed and considered in decision-making. You will join the Enterprise Risk Management team, part of the global Enterprise Governance, Risk & Compliance (EGRC) department. The team supports FrieslandCampina in identifying, assessing, and managing its key risks, while strengthening risk-informed decision-making and a proactive risk culture across the organisation.In this role, you report to the Head of enterprise risk management and work closely with your EGRC colleagues around the world, bringing together local expertise and global perspectives on risk, governance and compliance. Who you will work with: You will join the Enterprise Risk Management team within Enterprise Governance, Risk & Compliance. In this global role, you work with management teams and subject-matter experts across Business Groups, Operating Companies and Corporate Functions.Your stakeholders range from local management and risk owners to Corporate Function Directors, Subject Matter Experts, Business Group Presidents and Executive Leadership Team members. You build trusted relationships, ask constructive questions and influence decisions without formal authority.
Core Responsibilities
Facilitate enterprise risk assessments and ongoing risk dialogues, identify emerging risks, develop scenarios, and advise leaders on risk exposure, appetite, and treatments. Monitor risk indicators and treatment plans, prepare reports for senior leadership and governance committees, maintain risk data, improve ERM processes, and promote a proactive risk culture.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field and at least five years of relevant corporate or consulting experience are required. Candidates should bring ERM knowledge, strong analytical and communication skills, stakeholder influence, project and change management ability, integrity, attention to detail, and a collaborative, proactive approach.
