Job Description

Your Role In Our Story As a Quantitative Risk Analyst at ACT Group, you will be instrumental in enhancing our risk management strategies and ensuring our organization's financial resilience. By leveraging your expertise in Python and SQL, you will analyse complex datasets to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks. Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, you will provide insights and recommendations that guide strategic initiatives. In essence, your role involves: Design and implement advanced Python risk models. Optimize algorithms and statistical models for risk prediction. Maintain and update codebases for performance and reliability. Process and analyze large datasets using SQL. Apply statistical techniques to interpret data and identify trends. Perform stress testing and develop risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the trading desk to gather data and understand strategies. Your Expertise To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes: 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience with strong knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field. Experience in trading houses is a plus. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with excellent proficiency in English. Proactive and adaptable to shifting priorities. Core Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize Python-based risk models and statistical algorithms, while maintaining reliable codebases and analyzing large datasets with SQL. Conduct stress testing, develop risk mitigation strategies, and collaborate with stakeholders and the trading desk to inform organizational decisions.

Requirements

Candidates should have 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong Python and object-oriented programming knowledge, and a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant quantitative or technical field. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, communication and teamwork skills, English proficiency, and adaptability are expected; trading-house experience is a plus.
