Job Description

As Tender & Acquisition Manager Subsea Cables for APAC, you will develop commercial opportunities and lead competitive, compliant tenders for complex offshore cable projects. You will combine tender leadership with client and partner development across the region.

You will manage the full opportunity and tender lifecycle, from market engagement and bid/no-bid assessment to submission and contract negotiation. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams for subsea cable projects, including export and array cables, interconnectors, landfalls, burial and protection works.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop a strong pipeline of subsea cable opportunities across APAC through market intelligence and client engagement.
  • Build relationships with developers, utilities, cable manufacturers, partners and subcontractors.
  • Lead opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid recommendations in line with DEME's strategy and risk appetite.
  • Translate client requirements and contractual conditions into a clear tender strategy and execution plan.
  • Lead multidisciplinary tender teams across Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, Procurement, QHSE and Project Controls.
  • Drive technical concepts, schedules, cost estimates, pricing and commercial proposals.
  • Identify and manage key risks and opportunities throughout the internal review and approval process.
  • Coordinate partners, suppliers and subcontractors, including commercial agreements.
  • Lead client clarifications, negotiations and contract finalisation with internal stakeholders.
  • Support an effective handover from tender to project execution.

Your profile

  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, marine technology, business or a related discipline.
  • You have at least 7 years of relevant experience in offshore energy, subsea cables, marine construction, tendering or business development.
  • You understand subsea cable installation, burial and protection; experience with export or array cables, interconnectors or landfalls is an asset.
  • You understand the commercial and contractual aspects of complex EPC, EPCI or marine installation projects.
  • You combine commercial awareness with technical curiosity and translate client needs into executable solutions.
  • You are a strong negotiator and communicator who works effectively across cultures and organisational levels.
  • You are structured, proactive and decisive, and can lead teams under demanding deadlines.
  • You are fluent in English and willing to travel regularly within APAC. Additional regional languages are an asset.

Our offer

  • A key commercial role supporting the growth of DEME's subsea cable activities in APAC.
  • The opportunity to work on challenging, internationally visible offshore energy projects.
  • A collaborative, people-oriented environment with strong development opportunities.
  • A competitive employment package and mobility support aligned with the role and location.

Core Responsibilities

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, marine technology, or business, with at least 7 years of relevant experience in offshore energy or subsea cables. Strong negotiation skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to travel regularly within the APAC region are essential.

Benefits

  • Competitive employment package
  • Mobility support
  • Professional development opportunities
