
Tender & Acquisition Manager Interconnectors

Job Description
You will manage the full opportunity and tender lifecycle, from market engagement and bid/no-bid assessment to submission and contract negotiation. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams for interconnector projects, including cable installation, landfalls, burial and protection works.
Your responsibilities
- Develop a strong pipeline of interconnector opportunities through market intelligence and client engagement.
- Build relationships with transmission system operators, utilities, cable manufacturers, partners and subcontractors.
- Lead opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid recommendations in line with DEME's strategy and risk appetite.
- Translate client requirements and contractual conditions into a clear tender strategy and execution plan.
- Lead multidisciplinary tender teams across Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, Procurement, QHSE and Project Controls.
- Drive technical concepts, schedules, cost estimates, pricing and commercial proposals.
- Identify and manage key risks and opportunities throughout the internal review and approval process.
- Coordinate partners, suppliers and subcontractors, including commercial agreements.
- Lead client clarifications, negotiations and contract finalisation with internal stakeholders.
- Support an effective handover from tender to project execution.
Your profile
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, marine technology, business or a related discipline.
- You have at least 7 years of relevant experience in offshore energy, interconnectors, subsea cables, marine construction, tendering or business development.
- You understand interconnector cable installation, landfalls, burial and protection; experience with high-voltage subsea cable projects is an asset.
- You understand the commercial and contractual aspects of complex EPC, EPCI or marine installation projects.
- You combine commercial awareness with technical curiosity and translate client needs into executable solutions.
- You are a strong negotiator and communicator who works effectively across cultures and organisational levels.
- You are structured, proactive and decisive, and can lead teams under demanding deadlines.
- You are fluent in English and willing to travel when required. Dutch is an asset.
