Job Description
As a Sensing and Vision Engineer, you will drive the sensing and vision aspects of new machine concepts. You will be responsible end to end, from defining sensing strategies and architectures to prototyping, testing, and validating solutions that turn sensor data into actionable information for our equipment.
- Define and own the sensing and vision strategy for new machine concepts, translating information needs into robust sensing architectures;
- Develop and optimize signal/image processing and computer vision algorithms, using both classical and machine learning / deep learning approaches;
- Evaluate, benchmark, and select sensing technologies, balancing performance, reliability, and industrial applicability;
- Lead vision and sensing projects end to end, from concept and prototyping through testing, validation, and industrialization;
- Collaborate closely across disciplines to integrate sensing solutions, communicate trade offs, and support others with vision expertise.
- Master’s or PhD in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mechatronics, or Applied Mathematics;
- 10+ years of experience in industrial vision, sensing, or imaging system development;
- Proven track record in algorithm development, including classical computer vision and machine-learning / deep-learning approaches;
- Programming proficiency in Python and/or C++; comfortable with MATLAB;
- Strong conceptual thinker with sharp analytical skills and a structured approach to problem solving;
- Self-managed attitude: able to independently lead project execution from concept through design, prototyping, and testing;
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Core Responsibilities
You will define and own the sensing and vision strategy for new machine concepts, translating information needs into robust architectures. Additionally, you will lead projects end-to-end, from prototyping and algorithm development to testing and industrialization.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master’s or PhD in a relevant engineering or science field and possess over 10 years of experience in industrial vision or sensing systems. Proficiency in Python, C++, and algorithm development is required, along with a structured approach to problem-solving.
