Finance hasn't changed much in decades. Spreadsheets, manual data pulls, and hours of repetitive work are still the norm. We're building our own internal operating system and largely automated financial models already in place, we're now building the AI-powered infrastructure that lets a small, elite team deliver CFO work at a level traditional firms can't match. That's where you come in. You'll be our first dedicated developer, joining our team and building the automations and AI tools that power how a modern finance firm runs. You work directly with the founders, and your opinion on what to build and how carries real weight. A backlog of interesting projects. Finance API integrations, AI agents, internal tooling, dashboards. There's far more we want to build in the long term, so this role has room to grow. AI is at the core, not a side project. We're investing heavily in AI across the business. You'll help shape how a finance firm runs when AI does the heavy lifting and people focus on judgment. Work from anywhere. We're fully remote. What matters is that we overlap enough to build together. The Role What you'll do: Build reliable integrations with Stripe, Shopify, Meta, Google, QuickBooks, and Xero that feed data automatically into our Google Sheets financial models Help build our AI-driven finance dashboard for clients Design and build an AI agent that connects our internal OS, financial models, and call recordings, so anyone on the team can ask "what's happening with this client?" and get a real answer Strengthen our internal operating system with a proper database backend, better reliability, and fewer bugs Propose better ways of doing things, and push back when something isn't worth building What you won't do: Build throwaway demos that never get used Wait weeks for approvals What You Bring Hands-on experience integrating finance or payment APIs (Stripe, Shopify, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) Strong experience with the Google Sheets and backend skills, including databases, data pipelines, and keeping data secure and consistent Experience building with LLMs, AI agents, or RAG, or a strong drive to go deep on it Security-minded habits. You'll handle sensitive client financial data and treat it that way. Fluent in English and at least 5 hours of overlap with Dubai time (GST, UTC+4) What matters more than your CV: You've shipped automations that run reliably in production, not just prototypes You work independently and own the outcome from idea to live system You can explain technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical founders You'd rather build something simple that works than something clever that doesn't Finance knowledge is a bonus, but curiosity about how businesses actually run is a must How It Works Paid trial project: show us what you can build on a real problem from our backlog Monthly retainer: once it clicks, you join as our full-time contractor Long-term: we have a lot to build, and we're looking for someone who wants to make this their main focus and grow into a permanent role Compensation Between $3,000-$6,000 /month, depending on experience, time and availability. Core Responsibilities

Build and maintain reliable integrations with finance and ecommerce platforms, automate data flows into financial models, and help develop an AI-powered client finance dashboard and agent. Improve the internal operating system with a secure database backend, more reliable systems, and fewer bugs.

Requirements

Candidates should have hands-on experience with finance or payment APIs, Google Sheets, backend systems, databases, and data pipelines, along with experience building with LLMs, AI agents, or RAG—or a strong desire to develop that expertise. They must work independently, communicate technical tradeoffs clearly, handle sensitive financial data securely, be fluent in English, and overlap with Dubai time by at least five hours.
