As a Regulatory Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding our clients through the intricate world of regulatory compliance. You will leverage your expertise to develop, implement, and oversee robust compliance frameworks, ensuring our clients operate with integrity and in full accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Your strategic insights and proactive approach will be instrumental in safeguarding their reputation and fostering sustainable growth in a compliant way. Tasks and responsibilities: Drafting and implementing comprehensive compliance programs tailored to our clients' specific needs, including but not limited risk profile, relevant regulatory landscape market abuse, etc. Performing in-depth risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and establishing effective risk mitigation strategies and controls. Planning and executing internal audits, preparing detailed reports for both regulatory bodies and internal management, and ensuring timely remediation of any identified issues. Staying ahead of the curve by continuously monitoring and analyzing existing and new regulations, industry trends, and enforcement actions, and translating these insights into actionable strategies. Advise management on compliance-related matters and serve as a point of contact for regulatory compliance issues. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for regulatory inquiries and directly engaging with regulatory authorities and other external stakeholders on behalf of our clients. We expect our consultants to bring in their own network to identify new opportunities and clients for our consultancy. Proactively identify and engage potential clients by leveraging your professional network, industry relationships, and market insights. Contribute to business development initiatives, and support the growth of our consultancy. This is a priority for Compliance Champs. Job requirements: Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field. Experience: At least 7 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in a (financial) licensed environment Experienced in broad second line compliance duties. In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and directives, such as MiFID, PSD2, MiCAR, Wft, Wwft, and GDPR. Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-changing environment. High level of integrity and a proactive attitude Language: Strong communication skills, with fluency in Dutch (required) and excellent English (spoken and written). Availability: You are available full-time (contract based on 36 to 40 hours per week). Parttime is negotiable. You are able to live and work in the Netherlands, without Visa support from the Company. We expect you to be in the office and/or at clients at least twice a week. Pre: Compliance Officer/Professional Certification

Core Responsibilities

Develop and oversee tailored compliance programs, conduct risk assessments and internal audits, monitor regulatory developments, and advise clients and management on compliance matters. Build client relationships, engage with regulators and external stakeholders, and contribute to business development by leveraging a professional network.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field, and at least seven years of compliance experience, preferably in a licensed financial environment with broad second-line responsibilities. Candidates need in-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, strong analytical and communication skills, fluency in Dutch and excellent English, and the ability to work in the Netherlands without company visa support; a compliance certification is preferred.
