At Yusen Logistics, we are looking for an Export Employee Air Freight Forwarding to join our Amsterdam team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for customers, airlines, agents, and internal stakeholders, ensuring export shipments are handled accurately, professionally, and on time. What will you do? As an Export Employee Air Freight Forwarding, you will coordinate and manage air freight export shipments from A to Z. You will work closely with customers and partners worldwide, ensuring every shipment is processed according to customer requirements and industry regulations. Your responsibilities include: Processing and coordinating export air freight shipments. Acting as the daily point of contact for customers, agents, airlines, and sales offices. Monitoring shipment routings and keeping customers informed throughout the transport process. Preparing quotations and responding to commercial enquiries. Creating and processing transport and shipping documentation. Ensuring compliance with GDP procedures and industry regulations, including DG, IATA, and ADR requirements. Preparing invoices for customers and internal offices. Handling gateway shipments and related road freight movements. Resolving operational irregularities and shipment exceptions. Managing export customs procedures (ECS) accurately and in compliance with regulations. Maintaining accurate data entry and system administration. What do you bring to the table? You thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoy coordinating multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service. You are proactive, commercially aware, and able to build strong relationships with both customers and colleagues. You bring: MBO Level 4, Air Freight Logistics, HAVO, or a comparable qualification. At least 2 years of experience within air freight forwarding or air freight logistics. Strong knowledge of air freight processes and the logistics industry. Experience working with MS Office applications and Transport Management Systems (TMS). Knowledge of GDP procedures and related operational requirements. Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and spoken. A service-oriented and customer-focused mindset. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Core Responsibilities

Coordinate air freight export shipments from start to finish, serving as the daily contact for customers, airlines, agents, and internal teams. Prepare quotations and shipping documents, monitor routings, manage customs and compliance requirements, handle invoicing and gateway movements, and resolve shipment exceptions.

Requirements

Applicants need an MBO Level 4 qualification in air freight logistics, HAVO, or an equivalent qualification, plus at least two years of air freight forwarding or logistics experience. They should know air freight processes, GDP procedures, MS Office, and transport management systems, and have strong Dutch and English communication, customer service, accuracy, commercial awareness, and teamwork skills.
