About the Role Are you organized, detail-oriented, and interested in the world of logistics? Join Portex Logistics as an Operations & Order Management Intern and gain hands-on experience in transport operations and supply chain management. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage incoming order emails Extract key order details (customer, locations, quantities, dates, requirements) Organize and structure the information clearly Create and enter orders into the TMS system Ensure accuracy and completeness of each order Communicate relevant order details and updates to the planning team Follow up internally if information is missing or unclear Requirements Strong attention to detail Enrolled in a Dutch university Able to start from January 2027 Ability to quickly understand and structure information Basic logistics understanding Efficient email handling Clear communication with internal teams Accuracy in system input (TMS) Preferred Languages Dutch English Spanish How the job actually works (in simple terms) Read the email Pull out the important info Organize it Enter it correctly into the TMS Inform planning if needed Employment Conditions Full-time internship Location: Smirnoffweg 24–26, Rotterdam Start date: January 2027 What We Offer Real-world experience in logistics operations Practical exposure to transport management systems (TMS) Mentorship from experienced logistics professionals An opportunity to develop valuable operational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment Interested? Core Responsibilities

Monitor incoming order emails, extract and organize order details, and enter complete and accurate orders into the TMS. Communicate order information and updates to the planning team, and follow up internally when details are missing or unclear.

Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled at a Dutch university and be able to start in January 2027. They should have strong attention to detail, basic logistics understanding, efficient email-handling skills, clear communication, and accuracy when entering information into a TMS.
