Dental Assistant Location: Tandartspraktijk Palladino Cornelis Dirkszstraat 27, 1056 TP Amsterdam Contract type: Zero-hour contract / On-call contract Expected working hours: Typically around 24–40 hours per week, depending on the practice schedule and your availability Start date: ASAP Salary: To be discussed, depending on experience, skills, and availability About the Role Tandartspraktijk Palladino is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. Previous experience in a dental practice or as a Dental Assistant is highly valued, but it is not a strict requirement. We also welcome candidates without prior dental experience who have a genuine interest in dentistry, are eager to learn, and are willing to develop their skills through practical training. We are looking for someone who can become a reliable and consistent member of our daily practice team. At present, we generally expect to be able to offer approximately 24–40 hours per week, with preference given to candidates who are available for close to full-time hours. Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: assisting the dentist chairside during treatments; preparing treatment rooms, instruments and required materials; cleaning, organising and resetting treatment rooms after procedures; cleaning, disinfecting and sterilising dental instruments; checking, organising and replenishing dental materials and stock; assisting with X-ray / radiography-related tasks where permitted based on training, instructions and applicable regulations; welcoming, guiding and communicating with patients before and after treatment; working closely with dentists and other team members to maintain an efficient, clean and well-organised practice. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who: has a genuine interest in dentistry, oral healthcare or the medical field; is motivated to learn and develop professionally; preferably has previous experience as a Dental Assistant, although this is not required; is also welcome to apply with relevant dental, healthcare or medical education and experience obtained abroad; speaks Dutch at A2 level or above, or is able to communicate with patients in Ukrainian English is a MUST for this position currently lives in the Netherlands; already has the legal right to work in the Netherlands, or is able to arrange the necessary work authorisation independently; works accurately and hygienically and has a strong sense of responsibility; works well as part of a team; is flexible with working hours. For candidates who meet the applicable legal and immigration requirements, the possibility of visa sponsorship may be discussed after the probationary period. Availability on Mondays and Wednesdays is strongly preferred. Core Responsibilities

Requirements

Candidates should have an interest in dentistry or healthcare, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work accurately, hygienically, and collaboratively; prior dental experience is preferred but not required. English is essential, and candidates must speak Dutch at A2 level or above or be able to communicate with patients in Ukrainian, live in the Netherlands, and have or independently arrange the legal right to work there.
