A Snapshot of Your Day Join our dedicated Site Technicians 1 team at the Hollandse Kust Noord (HKN) offshore wind farm, where you will play a vital role in ensuring business continuity and enhancing renewable energy output. Imagine performing routine offshore maintenance, troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical issues, and adhering to strict maritime safety standards. You will engage in hands-on activities that directly impact the availability of wind turbines and the success of daily service campaigns. Your commitment to safety and operational excellence will be key as you transition from an apprentice to a full-time operational capacity. How You’ll Make An Impact You will perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and servicing on offshore wind turbine generators (WTGs) and associated systems. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system faults to minimize turbine downtime. You will replace major components and execute retrofits or upgrades according to technical specifications and quality standards. You will adhere strictly to Siemens Energy’s zero-harm safety protocols, offshore safety regulations, and environmental guidelines during all operations. You will document all service activities, maintenance logs, and parts usage accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). What You Bring You have a vocational degree (MBO-3/MBO-4) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering. You have completed a technical apprenticeship or internship in a relevant industrial field. You possess 0-2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial maintenance, or maritime operations. You hold certifications in GWO Basic Safety Training (BST), GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT), VCA Safety Certificate, and NEN 3140 Electrical Safety Certification. You have strong technical skills in electrical troubleshooting, mechanical and hydraulic systems maintenance, and wind turbine generator diagnostics. Core Responsibilities
Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, component replacements, and upgrades on offshore wind turbines and associated systems. Follow safety and environmental requirements, and accurately record service activities, maintenance logs, and parts usage in the CMMS.
Requirements
Requires a vocational MBO-3/MBO-4 qualification in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering, plus a relevant technical apprenticeship or internship. Candidates should have 0–2 years of relevant experience, the listed GWO, VCA, and NEN 3140 certifications, strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic maintenance skills, and availability for a 7-days-on/7-days-off rotation.
