Job Description

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Freelance Writer role based in Spakenburg. The Freelance Writer will create clear, engaging written content for event materials, promotional campaigns, digital channels, and participant communications. Day-to-day tasks include researching topics related to career development and Quantity Surveying, drafting and revising articles, brochures, social media posts, and web content, and ensuring all messaging aligns with organizational goals and brand voice. The role also involves collaborating with organizers and industry partners to gather information, develop stories that highlight opportunities for students, and meet deadlines for scheduled activities. The writer will be expected to maintain high editorial standards, adapt tone for different audiences, and support continuous improvement of content strategies. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging content for multiple formats. Candidates should possess research and information-gathering skills to accurately represent programs, events, and industry expectations. Candidates should possess basic content strategy and digital communication skills to plan and structure content for web and social media platforms. Candidates should possess proofreading and attention-to-detail skills to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and professional presentation. Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, or a related field are beneficial. Experience writing for educational, career development, or construction-related contexts is an advantage. Ability to work on-site in Spakenburg, manage deadlines, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and communicate effectively in English.
