Job Description
Sales & Business Developer Europe Turn elite motorsport access into industrial sales. Eindhoven | Europe | Full-time | Professional English Picture yourself a few months in You are on the paddock during a Formula 2 Grand Prix weekend. Around you are race cars, engineers and a carefully selected group of industrial prospects from the region. Together with Sorama and our motorsport partner, you are hosting a Sound of Success event: a live workshop that connects the performance and reliability demands of motorsport to challenges in factories, energy, chemicals, data centres and other critical industrial environments. The event did not start at the circuit. Weeks earlier, you selected the local target accounts, approached the right maintenance, reliability and operational decision-makers, and built the programme around problems that matter to them. On the paddock, the cars and technology create attention. Your questions, live demonstrations and customer conversations turn that attention into a business case. Before the weekend is over, you know which prospects have a real application, who influences the decision and what concrete commercial step comes next. Back in the market, you follow through: first meeting, proposal, first order. Once Sorama creates value, you build the next sale across another site, team, country or application. This is Sorama’s BITSER approach in practice: using major international moments to build a focused local prospect programme and win customers. The event is never the result. The result is a won customer, repeat business and an account that keeps growing. The role Sorama makes sound visible. Our acoustic imaging solutions help industrial organisations find leaks and equipment faults and improve inspection, safety and reliability. You will open and develop selected major accounts across Europe through focused account development, directed outreach and distinctive commercial programmes such as Sound of Success. Your job is to turn relevant conversations into signed orders, then expand successful customers across sites, countries and applications. Depending on the customer need, the Sustainable Industries portfolio includes handheld, fixed, mount-and-move and robot- or drone-enabled inspection, including Ex/ATEX solutions. You do not need to be an acoustics engineer. You do need to understand the customer problem, ask the right questions and bring in the right specialists. What you will do Select priority regions and industrial target accounts around Sorama hubs, trade shows and selected elite sports or motorsport moments. Build focused sequences before each programme, personally engage the right people and convert event access into qualified conversations. Host prospects confidently during live workshops, customer sessions and Sound of Success events, including selected Formula 2 race weekends. Own opportunities from first conversation through qualification, proposal, decision and first order, then develop repeat sales across the account. Turn customer challenges in leaks, inspection, reliability and safety into a credible commercial case. Work with product and application specialists on demonstrations and technical validation while retaining commercial ownership. You do not run technical pilots. Keep target accounts, opportunities and next steps accurate in HubSpot and coordinate clearly with colleagues and relevant partners. What success looks like You have won new industrial customers, generated repeat orders and built a focused portfolio of accounts with clear next steps. Your sequences bring the right prospects into Sorama’s ecosystem. Workshops and motorsport programmes produce account progress, proposals and sales rather than attendance alone. Customers know you as someone who understands their operation, creates momentum and follows through. You may be a fit if You have B2B sales or business-development experience, or clear commercial potential in a customer-facing industrial role. You are strong in human interaction: you ask good questions, connect naturally with customers and can bring a deal to a decision. You also accept disciplined target-account selection, sequences, CRM and follow-up as part of the job. You are curious about industrial technology, communicate professionally in English and enjoy European travel, including selected evening and weekend events. Industrial experience, a relevant network and additional European languages are welcome, not mandatory. Why Sorama You will sell technology with clear industrial value while working through a commercial approach few companies can offer. One week you may visit a factory or develop a multinational account; another you may host prospects in Eindhoven, Barcelona or Lausanne, at a trade show, in the PSV environment or on a motorsport paddock. You will have ownership of real accounts and work closely with commercial, product and application colleagues. We offer 25 vacation days with the option to purchase more, a laptop, phone and mobility arrangement, an inspiring workspace at Strijp-T in Eindhoven, regular European travel and room to grow with Sorama’s international business. Interested? Send your CV and a short motivation to [email protected]. Tell us about one customer you opened, sale you won or account you helped grow. If you are earlier in your career, tell us how you turned a promising conversation, relationship or event into a concrete commercial next step.
