Your job As a Data Steward in EEDD, you will play a vital role in shaping and implementing our data management strategies, focusing on proactive data improvements and robust data governance. You will enhance data quality, embed methodologies, and integrate best practices into our data processes to improve decision-making capabilities across the organization. Next to that, for this opening, we are looking for an enthusiastic Data Steward specialized in Data Modelling activities, including Business Data Modelling (e.g. conceptual data modelling) and (to a lesser extent) logical data modelling. Key Responsibilities: Driving/managing the development and maintanance of the EEDD Business Data Models, guiding team members and stakeholders throughout the process while participating yourself where necessary. Serving as the go-to person for (Business) Data Modelling activities within EEDD; transfering knowledge to both team members and other stakeholders. Develop and implement data management policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with regulations such as BCBS239. Monitor and strategically improve data quality, including performing root cause analyses (RCA) on complex data sources and determining necessary follow-up actions. Strategically develop, monitor, and enhance data management capabilities. Take end-to-end responsibility for FDGM data products and use cases, from concept to implementation. Able to unravel complex data structures. Convince and influence the environment to make data-driven decisions. Working environment The EEDD consists of approximately seventy data professionals that collectively serve our stakeholders. Together we turn data into value. The Data Steward Team consists of approximately 8 Data Stewards, all reporting directly to a Lead Data Product Owner. As a Data Domain we are responsible for Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering and Data Stewardship activities. Our Data Stewards play a crucial role in guiding these processes. Together we work on (complex) data projects. We closely collaborate with colleagues from outside our own Data Management capability, showcasing a true collaborative mindsite. We advocate for a consumer centric approach. We are curious of your environment & stakeholders, to better understand their views and needs. We are all eager to learn and improve ourselves, showing the courage to do so. Finally, we work hybrid; team members work at least one day per week, preferably two, from our headquarters in Amsterdam (temporarily in Diemen). Your profile We are seeking a Data Steward who is passionate about data management and governance, with a specialisation in Data Modelling activities. While a highly technical background is not necessary, you should possess a solid understanding of data processes and be eager to learn and adapt. Do you think there is a fit with us? Check your profile: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field. Demonstrable experience or interest in Data Management (DAMA DMBOK) and Data Governance. Demonstrable experience & knowledge of Conceptual & Logical Data Modelling. Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus), capable of articulating complex data scenarios to diverse audiences, including senior management and cross-functional teams. Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment and promoting data management activities.
