About the role.
As Payroll Officer, you are responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of payroll and related HR administration processes. You play a key role in ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time while maintaining accurate personnel records and supporting managers and employees with payroll-related questions. Working closely with Finance, HR, and the Payroll team, you ensure a smooth payroll cycle and continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and administrative efficiency.
What you’ll be doing.
  • Process payroll mutations, including salary changes, travel reimbursements, leave registrations, deductions, and other employee-related changes. 
  • Maintain accurate time and attendance administration and verify hours registrations for payroll processing.
  • Prepare employment contracts and support onboarding, internal mobility, and offboarding administration.
  • Register new employees and maintain personnel records within AFAS. 
  • Review payroll data, payslips, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. 
  • Support employees and managers with payroll-related questions in a professional and service-oriented manner. 
  • Process administrative matters such as travel expenses, wage garnishments, and statutory payroll-related requirements.
  • Generate payroll and HR reports and provide administrative support to Finance and HR stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and resolve discrepancies in payroll, employee data, and time registrations. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems, and data quality. 
What you’ll need to be successful.
  • MBO+/HBO working and thinking level, preferably in HR, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in payroll and administrative processes, preferably within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with time registration and payroll administration is highly preferred. 
  • Experience working with AFAS; strong Excel skills are an advantage.
  • Practical Payroll Diploma (PDL) or willingness to obtain the certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working. 
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues and drive improvements.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with employees and managers.
  • Fluent Dutch communication skills; English is considered a plus.
About the team.
You will join the Finance team and work closely with Payroll, HR, and business stakeholders across the organization. In this role, you will collaborate frequently with the Accounting Manager, Payroll colleagues, managers, and employees to ensure accurate payroll execution and employee administration. The position requires regular presence at our Lewedorp location to support collaboration with the local payroll team.
