What is KEDM KEDM publishes a weekly report with event-driven investment opportunities and thematic research. Event-driven: which companies changed CEOs, announced strategic alts, have activist involvement, are planning spinoffs, or emerged from bankruptcy, etc? Thematic: which industries will see your earnings in the near future: refiners, senior living, etc? Our customer base consists predominantly of hedge funds. We work in close partnership with two U.S.-based hedge funds who use KEDM in their investment process The job We publish 48 weeks per year on Sundays and need help in putting together this 100 page report. The equity analyst helps in populating our monitors with event-driven data. That process can be automated with AI so we need someone tech-savvy. This way we free up more time for the interpretation of that data. The data only becomes valuable once we include a fundamental interpretation with a human touch. In the end we need to find investment ideas that make money. The equity analyst also posts some of our investment findings on social media. Requirements BSc/MSc student in finance or similar. We prefer a student in The Netherlands!! Passionate about investing Available for at least 1-2 years, 2 days per week around Thursday / Friday / Saturday. Exact working hours are somewhat flexible. Highly responsible. We can never miss publishing deadlines. Can work independently. We work remotely but two employees are in Amsterdam/Almere. Salary in line with experience.

Core Responsibilities

Populate investment monitors with event-driven data, using AI and other automation where appropriate, and interpret the data through fundamental analysis to identify investment ideas. Help prepare the weekly report and share selected investment findings on social media.

Requirements

Applicants should be BSc or MSc students in finance or a related field, with a passion for investing; students in the Netherlands are preferred. They should be highly responsible, able to work independently, and available for at least one to two years for two days per week, around Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.
