Job Description

· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Destinus OPRA generator sets. · Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, and control-system faults. · Carry out generator installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities. · Inspect engines, alternators, control panels, fuel systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and associated equipment. · Conduct load-bank testing and performance testing of generating sets. · Service and repair engines, alternators, AVR systems, governors, batteries, starters, sensors, and control systems. · Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, technical manuals, schematics, and engine documentation. · Configure and troubleshoot generator controllers and monitoring systems. · Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend appropriate corrective actions. · Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide on-site technical support when required. · Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance records, inspection reports, and job completion documentation. · Maintain accurate records of spare parts, tools, equipment condition, and service activities. · Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment condition, faults, repairs, and maintenance requirements. · Provide technical guidance and basic operational training to customers and site personnel. · Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable regulations. Requirements · Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field. · Typically 2-5+ years of experience servicing, maintaining, or commissioning generator sets or industrial power equipment. · Experience with rotating equipment, alternators, and automatic transfer systems is preferred. · A valid driving license. · Travel to customer sites on shore, offshore and work outside normal hours during emergency breakdowns when required. Working Conditions · Primarily field-based, working at customer sites, industrial facilities, oil and gas onshore offshore installations. · May involve working in noisy, hot, dusty, or outdoor environments. · May require travel, overtime, weekend work, and emergency call-outs depending on customer requirements.

Core Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, install, test, and commission Destinus OPRA generator sets and associated mechanical, electrical, electronic, and control equipment. Respond to breakdowns, document service work, maintain accurate equipment and parts records, and provide technical support and guidance to customers.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical engineering, or a related field is required, along with typically 2–5+ years of experience servicing, maintaining, or commissioning generator sets or industrial power equipment. A valid driving license is required; experience with rotating equipment, alternators, and automatic transfer systems is preferred, and the role requires travel to customer sites, including offshore locations, and occasional emergency work outside normal hours.
