Job Description Role: Mechanical Basic Engineer for Superyachts Workplace: Amsterdam region, Netherlands Duration: Until the end of the year, with a possible extension of 3 to 6 months. Start: Between week 43 and 46 Contract: freelance assignment What can we offer you as a Mechanical Engineer for Superyachts? In return for your hard work, we offer you a € salary based on experience and education. If relocation is needed, we provide help to search for affordable accommodation. Fortunately, We Can Count On You For The Following You work at the early stage of the engineering process, defining what technical systems and equipment the yacht will need, how much space they require and where they should be located. You translate the yacht concept into a technically feasible overall arrangement that provides the basis for the later detailed engineering. You create preliminary mechanical designs and estimates for the vessel, defining what is needed and where it should be located. Your work includes the preliminary design and arrangement of technical spaces, engine rooms, HVAC, machinery and other onboard systems, as well as main layouts and zone plans. You consider accessibility, routing, interfaces with other disciplines and the overall integration of systems within the vessel. You work with AutoCAD 2D and Cadmatic. Requirements

The role requires medior-level experience in mechanical or marine engineering within shipbuilding or yacht building, with strong experience in concept and/or basic design. Relevant software knowledge includes 3D AutoCAD and Cadmatic.
