Job Description

Purchaser As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for the timely, cost-effective, and commercially sound procurement of materials and services. You will work closely with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that procurement activities are carried out efficiently, ethically, and in line with project requirements. Responsibilities Manage purchasing activities in a professional, ethical, and commercially responsible manner, in accordance with project and company requirements; Prepare and issue enquiries to suppliers and ensure that purchase requisitions are complete and accurate; Review and evaluate supplier quotations in close cooperation with project and/or asset team stakeholders; Prepare bid evaluations and negotiate pricing, lead times, terms, and conditions; Assess commercial options and make recommendations based on the overall project requirements; Perform desk expediting activities and follow up on supplier commitments where required; Prepare and issue weekly procurement status reports covering the progress of all purchase transactions; Coordinate supplier visits to project or site locations for installation, commissioning, repairs, technical support, and warranty-related activities; Prepare supplier performance documentation in cooperation with the Project Procurement Coordinator and Procurement Section Head, where applicable; Review and verify supplier invoices accurately and within agreed timelines, in cooperation with the assigned invoice administrator; Ensure the proper close-out of purchase orders, including supplier performance evaluation; Maintain accurate and complete procurement administration and documentation; Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the procurement process; Manage supplier conflicts, claims, and default situations in close cooperation with project and/or asset team stakeholders and the Procurement Section Head; Organize and chair pre-award and post-award meetings with suppliers; Coordinate and align with other departments and disciplines regarding scope definition, regulatory compliance, documentation, certification, transport, and logistics. Profile We are looking for a commercially minded and well-organized Purchaser who is able to work effectively in a dynamic, project-driven environment. You have strong communication skills, a structured approach, and a good understanding of procurement processes within the oil & gas industry. Requirements A vocational degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification; At least 2 years of relevant commercial experience, preferably within the oil & gas industry; Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken; Good knowledge of and experience with ICC Incoterms; Basic knowledge of and experience with negotiating contractual terms and conditions; Basic knowledge of relevant EU Directives and international standards, including ISO standards; Basic knowledge of transport and logistics processes; Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; A proactive, structured, and commercially aware approach to your work; The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, project teams, and internal stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

Manage procurement activities from supplier enquiries and quotation evaluation through negotiation, purchase order follow-up, invoice verification, and close-out. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on project requirements, logistics, compliance, supplier performance, and commercial risks.

Requirements

Requires a vocational degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification and at least two years of relevant commercial experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Candidates should have strong English communication skills, knowledge of Incoterms and basic contract negotiation, and familiarity with EU directives, ISO standards, transport and logistics, and Microsoft Office.
