Senior Fuel Cell Engineer
Key Skills
Job Description
Fuel cell systems for hydrogen aircraft don't get built without engineers who can take ownership from concept through certification. We're looking for a Senior Fuel Cell Engineer to lead the design, validation and certification of our HAPSS Fuel Cell Systems, based onsite in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, at the centre of one of aerospace's biggest transitions: bringing hydrogen-powered flight into service. You'll shape stack architecture, balance-of-plant systems and performance modelling, working closely with suppliers and integration partners to move critical components toward certification readiness. You'll also influence technical decisions, mentor team members and help define the engineering direction of the programme. If you bring 5+ years of experience in fuel cell or hydrogen systems and want your work to help power the next generation of aviation, we'd like to hear from you. We're building a small, high-performing team with real influence over how zero-emission aviation gets made. View the role and apply.
Core Responsibilities
Lead the design, validation, and certification of HAPSS fuel cell systems, including stack architecture, balance-of-plant systems, and performance modeling. Work with suppliers and integration partners to advance components toward certification readiness, influence technical decisions, mentor team members, and help set the programme’s engineering direction.
Requirements
Requires at least five years of experience in fuel cell or hydrogen systems. The posting does not specify an education requirement.
