Job Description

About us: two organisations, one role At Ape to Zebra, we’ve spent over 20 years in the creative industry helping brands build lasting presence and quality. A few years ago, we teamed up with FRONT, a company rapidly becoming the go-to European platform for sustainable, aesthetic building materials, trusted by architects, interior designers, property developers, and contractors across Europe and the Americas. Our partnership flourished to the point where Ape to Zebra became a co-owner of FRONT, ensuring we can safeguard their brand quality and support their continued growth side-by-side. Now we’re taking the next step: Ape to Zebra and FRONT are jointly looking for a Content Marketer who will work for both organisations. You’ll join a dynamic environment with two close-knit teams and a range of clients. What we learn on one side, we apply on the other, and vice versa. This role is especially interesting for someone who has spent the past few years at a content marketing agency and now wants to move to the client side. Your role at FRONT — 24 hours per week At FRONT you’ll work on an ongoing basis, focusing on the innovative, sustainable construction sector. You create and publish content on LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest, and in newsletters. You inspire our target audiences, including architects, interior designers, contractors and clients, and bring innovations to their attention. You turn complex stories into clear and appealing content. You’ll build on existing knowledge and material, so you won’t be starting from scratch. You adjust the content planning based on how our own channels perform, and you come up with ideas to improve and speed things up. You also support sales and business development with targeted materials, such as presentations and project pages on the website. For this, you liaise directly with the marketing departments of our partners and clients. Your role at Ape to Zebra — 8 to 16 hours per week As a strategic design agency, we help organisations that have a purpose. You’ll be a key link in our agency’s visibility and will actively contribute to client campaigns. You create content for clients such as Biomason (also a FRONT partner) and Vereniging Rembrandt. You act as a direct point of contact for our clients, helping them make choices and set their direction. You translate our vision and high-quality design cases into the right tone and direction for our own channels. You initiate content that shows our sincerity and focus on quality, helping us attract new, well-suited clients. Who you are For this role, Ape to Zebra and FRONT are looking for someone who: Thinks and acts commercially, switches easily between projects and keeps the overview. Learns quickly, takes initiative, and turns ideas into content, channel experiments and projects. Works and thinks at a higher professional education (HBO/bachelor’s) level, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in content marketing at a mid-level. Has an affinity with design (architecture and interior design are a plus) and a trained eye for visuals. Understands how to communicate complex stories clearly and persuasively through storytelling. Is proactive and flexible, and enjoys working in a compact, ambitious team. Ideally has a basic knowledge of photography and video. Fluent in Dutch and English What we offer Together, Ape to Zebra and FRONT offer you: A dynamic and varied role of 32 to 40 hours per week, based in Amsterdam. A competitive gross salary of €3,200 to €3,800 per month (based on 40 hours), plus holiday allowance. A workplace both at FRONT in Amsterdam Zuid and at Ape to Zebra in De Pijp, where design, culture, society and entrepreneurship come together. The chance to make a real contribution to projects with impact Ready to set the direction? Do you recognise yourself in this profile, and would you like to help build both Ape to Zebra and FRONT? Then send us: A short cover letter (max. 3 paragraphs). 2 or 3 case studies (1 paragraph each) that show your relevant experience as a content marketer. We’ll be happy to discuss the case studies further during the interview. Please email your application to [email protected], addressed to Tijs and Ward.
