Are you ready to build your career in cybersecurity and help protect systems and data from evolving threats? We are looking for a Security Analyst to join our Security Operations Centre in Amsterdam. As part of the frontline monitoring team, you will identify and investigate security alerts, raise incidents and help ensure threats are handled accurately. What You’ll Do Monitor alerts and events from multiple security sources, including SIEM tools Identify, categorise and prioritise correlated security alerts Analyse logs and network traffic to detect potential security issues Create and manage cases for confirmed incidents Recommend initial response activities and escalate complex incidents Maintain accurate investigation notes throughout the incident lifecycle Review recurring tickets and identify opportunities to reduce false positives Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities Contribute to security reporting, documentation, awareness and best practices. What You Bring University Degree or Master in a related field Knowledge of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with Microsoft 365 It would be an advantage if you also have experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Jira, network operations, service or help desk environments, or hold a certification such as CompTIA Security+ or SC-200. Core Responsibilities

Monitor and investigate security alerts from multiple sources, analyze logs and network traffic, and manage confirmed incidents through documentation, initial response recommendations, and escalation. Review recurring tickets to reduce false positives, stay informed about threats and vulnerabilities, and contribute to security reporting, documentation, awareness, and best practices.

Requirements

A university degree or master's degree in a related field, knowledge of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and experience with Microsoft 365 are requested. Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Jira, network operations, or service and help desk environments, and certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or SC-200, are advantageous.
