What You'll Do Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly embedded in enterprise environments through copilots, intelligent agents, and machine learning solutions. While AI delivers clear business value, it also introduces a new and largely unexplored attack surface. This assignment focuses on AI Security as a dedicated discipline and explores how organizations can securely design, deploy, and govern AI enabled workloads. This internal Avanade internship will focus on developing a Proof of Concept and reference architecture for securing enterprise AI workloads using Microsoft technologies. The emphasis is not on building AI models, but on designing the security, governance, and control framework around AI, including identity, data governance, and responsible usage controls. The result should provide clear guidance on how organizations can adopt AI safely and responsibly at enterprise scale, without limiting innovation. AI is no longer experimental. In this internship, you will explore how enterprises can safely use AI at scale without losing control over data, decisions, and compliance. Core Responsibilities

Develop a proof of concept and reference architecture for securing enterprise AI workloads using Microsoft technologies, focusing on security, governance, identity, data governance, and responsible-use controls rather than building AI models. Produce guidance to help organizations adopt AI safely and responsibly at enterprise scale, and support Avanade in incorporating AI Security into its offerings and solutions.

Requirements

Applicants must be fourth-year HBO students or WO master's students available to begin a graduation internship on February 1, 2027. They should communicate fluently in Dutch and English and demonstrate analytical thinking, research motivation, initiative, responsibility, and interest in AI literacy, security, governance, compliance, privacy, and responsible AI.
