About The Role We're hiring the person who builds our privacy framework from the ground up, and who shapes how a fast-scaling, multi-national SaaS business handles data and AI as we grow. This is a builder's role, not a caretaker's one. Most privacy hires inherit a framework and keep the lights on. You'll do the opposite. You'll build and refine the policies, the DPIA and DPA methodology, the training and the operating model that makes privacy integral across Engineering, Product, Sales, Marketing, and AI development. You'll report to our General Counsel and harmonise practice across group companies at very different stages of maturity, across Europe and the UK, giving them one standard worth building on. You've done this before and the challenge excites you. What Will You Do Build and maintain our privacy framework including Group Record of Processing Activities, our DPIA methodology and DPAs across every ACEVE entity and label Be the first person local entities and functions call with a privacy question and give them a straight, workable answer instead of reciting the law Keep our use of AI honest: make sure personal data processed by AI and ML in products and tools complies with GDPR and the EU AI Act and use AI tools yourself, in Claude or Copilot, to move faster through your own DPIA and DPA work Track privacy work across entities, spot the gaps, and escalate the risks that actually matter Build and run ongoing privacy training and awareness across Group companies Own and refine our breach response process, pulling in the right people from local entities fast enough to hit statutory deadlines Run privacy assessments on new systems, tools, and vendors, and follow up directly with IT, HR and the vendors themselves We Believe You Have 8+ years of senior privacy experience, built across a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction organisation, ideally spanning the UK and EU A real track record of standing up privacy programmes, including harmonizing practice across companies that started at very different levels of maturity The kind of person who earns trust with Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams by showing value, and who stays consistent when a sales deadline or product launch is pushing back on a requirement Comfort operating at every altitude: briefing leadership on strategy one day, reviewing a DPIA line by line with an engineer the next Hands-on experience with RoPA, DPIAs, data flows, and vendor privacy assessments A practical, confident way of using AI day to day, including building your own tools in Claude or Copilot to speed up DPIA and DPA work No fixed background required. Privacy professionals and lawyers are equally welcome here. What matters is what you've built before Bonus Points For A formal privacy qualification (CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar) or legal training, on top of real build experience Time spent in a PE or VC-backed scale-up moving fast through growth Experience presenting privacy strategy straight to a board or exec team Not ticking every box? Core Responsibilities

Build and maintain a group-wide privacy framework, including processing records, DPIA methodology, DPAs, training, and breach response across entities in Europe and the UK. Advise business and technical teams, assess systems and vendors, and ensure personal data use in AI and machine learning complies with GDPR and the EU AI Act.

Requirements

Requires 8+ years of senior privacy experience in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction organization, with a track record of establishing privacy programs and harmonizing practices. Candidates should have hands-on experience with RoPA, DPIAs, data flows, and vendor assessments, and be comfortable working with technical, commercial, and leadership teams.
