The Base Logistics & Materials Lead is responsible for leading the country/base Logistics & Materials team and ensuring efficient, compliant, and standardized logistics and materials operations in support of Seaway7 projects. This role focuses on developing and maintaining robust logistics and materials management processes, supporting smooth project mobilizations and demobilizations, and ensuring clear alignment between Project Logistics & Materials teams and Country/Base Logistics & Materials teams. The position plays a key role in establishing standardized ways of working, defining accountability, and improving operational performance across logistics activities. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Base Logistics & Materials team, ensuring effective resource allocation in collaboration with the Logistics & Materials Manager. Establish, implement, and continuously improve standardized logistics and materials management processes, procedures, and systems. Ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and interfaces between Project Logistics & Materials teams and Country/Base Logistics & Materials teams. Support the planning and execution of project mobilizations and demobilizations by providing efficient logistics and materials support from the base location. Monitor compliance with company standards, procedures, and HSEQ requirements across all logistics and materials activities. Manage and resolve customs-related issues, import/export challenges, and transportation delays to minimize operational impact. Ensure compliance with local and international regulations governing the transportation, storage, import, and export of goods. Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational performance. Build effective working relationships with project teams, procurement, supply chain, warehousing, and other internal stakeholders to support smooth collaboration. Support the Logistics & Materials Manager with departmental initiatives, reporting requirements, and other assigned responsibilities. Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to team members while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline; alternatively, significant relevant industry experience. Minimum of 8 years' experience in logistics, supply chain, materials management, or a related field. Previous experience leading and developing teams, including remote and geographically dispersed teams. Extensive knowledge of logistics operations, customs procedures, import/export regulations, transportation documentation, dangerous goods requirements, and applicable safety standards. Experience supporting large-scale industrial, offshore, energy, marine, or project-based operations Professional certifications in logistics, supply chain management, customs, or project management are advantageous. Well-developed problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a busy environment. Effective communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships. Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Dutch language skills are considered an advantage. Resourceful, results-oriented approach that prioritizes operational excellence and ongoing improvement. Core Responsibilities

Lead the Base Logistics and Materials team, establishing standardized processes and coordinating resources to support project mobilizations, demobilizations, and day-to-day operations. Ensure regulatory and HSEQ compliance, resolve customs and transportation issues, and improve operational performance through collaboration with project teams and other stakeholders.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or significant relevant industry experience, with at least eight years in logistics, supply chain, materials management, or a related field. Candidates should have team leadership experience, extensive knowledge of logistics and customs requirements, strong communication and problem-solving skills, fluent English, and willingness to travel internationally.
