Company Description Kryne Opvolging (Kryne Bedrijfsopvolging) is a search fund founded by Boudewijn Kryne, focused on acquiring one profitable Dutch SME to lead and grow over the long term. The company collaborates with entrepreneurs who are ready for a next phase but have not yet found a suitable successor, offering an alternative to private equity and traditional bidding processes. Kryne Opvolging targets stable, profitable B2B companies with €4–40 million in revenue whose owners wish to stop or transition ownership. Boudewijn brings experience from the Boston Consulting Group and six years of leading a business unit of about 60 people at Team Liquid, supported by a network of experienced Dutch and international investors. The approach is personal and direct, emphasizing open conversations about the future of a business rather than competitive auctions. Role Description The Intern will support the search and evaluation process for potential SME acquisitions in the Netherlands in an on-site role. This internship involves conducting market and company research, preparing analyses and summaries on target industries and businesses, and assisting in building financial and strategic overviews. The Intern will help draft presentations and communication materials for entrepreneurs and investors and support outreach and meeting preparation. Day-to-day work includes data gathering, organizing information in clear documents and spreadsheets, and collaborating closely with the founder on ongoing projects. This is an internship role based on-site in the Netherlands, offering exposure to entrepreneurship, SME succession, and investment decision-making. Qualifications Strong analytical and research abilities, including desk research, data interpretation, and clear synthesis of findings. Proficiency in written and verbal communication in Dutch and English. Basic understanding of business, finance, or economics, with the ability to work with financial statements and company metrics. Eager to learn more about entrepreneurship and financial transactions. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate closely in a small entrepreneurial environment. Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s program (e.g., Business, Economics, Finance, Management, or related fields). High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive business information.

Requirements
