Position overview
Seeking a research associate to help with a focus group project in health professions education, medical education, and clinical assessment. Tasks will include meeting with the research team on a regular basis, facilitating focus groups, coordinating data collection, participating in data analysis, ensuring rigorous research practices, and assisting in the final grant report and knowledge dissemination products.
Qualifications
- Must have experience with facilitating focus groups
- Must have experience in qualitative data analysis
- Must have familiarity with assessment, measurement, and validity frameworks
- Experience with funded research projects and focus group methodology is necessary
- Experience working in interdisciplinary research teams
- At minimum PhD level training
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Sense of motivation and ability to work independently
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours
Bilingualism (English, French) is an asset
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.

Core Responsibilities
The Research Associate will facilitate focus groups and coordinate data collection for a project in health professions education. They will also participate in data analysis and assist in the preparation of grant reports and knowledge dissemination materials.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a PhD and possess extensive experience in qualitative data analysis and focus group methodology. Familiarity with assessment and measurement frameworks is required, along with the ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary team.
