Within our strategic transformation, we are accelerating the way we work by embedding AI initiatives into our core business operations. Currently, key administrative workflows across our back office and maintenance desk teams are repetitive, time-consuming, and ready for a modern upgrade. This is where you come in!
In this assignment, you will take full ownership of analyzing, automating, and reinventing daily operational workflows. You will pinpoint high-impact opportunities, build smart automated solutions to eliminate repetitive tasks, and directly drive organizational efficiency. Furthermore, you will present and demonstrate your innovative solutions to key stakeholders and team members, making a tangible difference in how our teams operate every day.
Department description
You will join the Service Distribution North EMEA department within the parcel customers domain covering the Benelux and Nordics regions. You will collaborate closely with team members who sell and execute service activities across these markets.
The main goal is to design and build automation tools that can initially serve the local region and later be scaled across other global regions and customer groups. You will work alongside another intern or graduation student starting around the same period.
Tasks/responsibilities
- Analyze administrative processes to identify key opportunities for automation
- Optimize and automate selected back office and maintenance desk workflows
- Implement automated solutions into daily operational activities
- Collaborate with regional service teams to gather requirements and validate process improvements
- Present and explain outcomes and solutions to involved team members
Your profile
- Strong analytical skills with a practical problem-solving approach
- Programming skills or an interest in software-driven process automation
- Good social skills and enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands
What we offer
- A monthly internship allowance (based on a 40-hour work week):
Bachelor: €500 per month
Master: €550 per month - Full commuting allowance, including public transport, depending on whether you have access to free public transport or not
