Job Description Are you a master's student with a passion for using technology to shape the future of healthcare? This internship challenges you to combine academic curiosity with an innovative mindset to drive meaningful change in one of society's most vital sectors. Your primary focus will be on healthcare, but as part of the broader Health & Public Services (HPS) team at Accenture, you'll also gain exposure to public sector projects, giving you a well-rounded view of technology-driven transformation across both domains. What You'll Do As an intern, you'll work alongside dedicated consultants on real client projects, supporting healthcare organizations such as (academic) hospitals, health insurers, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, and other care institutions. You'll help them become more innovative, agile, and future proof through the responsible application of technology. You'll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to projects with tangible outcomes such as cost savings, more efficient patient pathways, improved digital care services, or optimized healthcare processes. What To Expect Working internship: You'll have the opportunity to shape your own experience and explore your personal interests. You'll contribute to various projects including business analyses, stakeholder and market analyses, support in developing business proposals, and research into client systems and functionalities. You are encouraged to bring your own ideas and initiatives, so you can challenge yourself and get the most out of your internship. Thesis internship: It is also possible — in consultation with your supervisor — to combine your internship with writing your thesis. You are encouraged to choose a topic that aligns with your studies and adds value to one of our clients. You'll receive all the guidance and resources needed to complete your thesis while continuing to contribute to the HPS team. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team working on the future of intelligent health services, leveraging our global delivery model and strategic partnerships with ecosystem partners such as Microsoft, AWS, and Google. What We're Looking For Education: Currently enrolled in a master's program at a Dutch university for the full duration of the internship. Preferred fields of study include Business Information Technology, Data Science & AI, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or closely related disciplines. Skills: Affinity with technology, IT, and/or healthcare; you actively follow the latest technological developments. Mindset: Ambitious and proactive, naturally analytical, strong communicator, and a team player. Core Responsibilities

Support consultants on client projects for healthcare organizations, contributing to technology-driven improvements such as more efficient patient pathways, digital care services, cost savings, and optimized processes. Depending on the internship type, conduct business, stakeholder, and market analyses; research client systems; support business proposals; and potentially complete a thesis on a relevant topic.

Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled in a master's program at a Dutch university for the full internship, preferably in Business Information Technology, Data Science and AI, Healthcare or Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. They must be fluent in Dutch and English and demonstrate an interest in technology and/or healthcare, analytical ability, strong communication, teamwork, ambition, and proactivity.
