Our platform is built with years of real-world e-commerce experience in mind, helping our clients sell their products on more channels and connect with more buyers across borders 🚀 We’re looking for a Senior Product Owner to help shape one of the most important part of the platform, Channels: adding new marketplaces, ensuring they are maintainable, scalable, and easy to integrate, while maintaining existing Channels.⭐ The role will turn customer, marketplace and business needs into a clear product strategy and roadmap, aligning priorities and dependencies across teams around measurable merchant outcomes. What will you do as a Senior Product Owner? As a Product Owner, you’ll take full ownership of the marketplaces domain, working closely with the development team to refine and prioritise the backlog, shape business epics and stories, and translate complex requirements into clear, functional designs. You’ll guide the development of key capabilities, including ongoing AI enhancements. You’ll support the team throughout each sprint, providing clarification, managing scope, reviewing completed work, and contributing to retrospectives.🎯 Alongside this, you will lead discovery, prioritisation and delivery with Engineering and UX while collaborating closely with Customer Success, Delivery and commercial stakeholders. You’ll also play a part in strengthening ways of working within the product organisation by aligning with other Product Owners, bringing structure where needed, and contributing to a mature, collaborative team culture. What makes you the ideal Senior Product Owner? At least 7 years’ experience as an Product Owner, IT Business Analyst or Project Manager within B2B SaaS development, Strong product ownership fundamentals: proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, Experience conducting customer discovery and validating problems before building solutions, Technical depth in software development, APIs, integrations, and/or platform architecture, Track record of defining success metrics and using data to inform product decisions, Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences, Living within commuting distance of Leiden. Nice-to-have E-commerce or marketplace experience (major plus - you will ramp up faster), Experience with AI/ML product features, PSPO or similar Product Owner certification. Core Responsibilities
Own the marketplaces product domain, translating customer, marketplace, and business needs into strategy, roadmaps, prioritized backlogs, and clear requirements. Lead discovery and delivery with Engineering and UX, support sprint execution, guide AI-related capabilities, and collaborate with commercial and product stakeholders to improve outcomes and ways of working.
Requirements
Requires at least seven years of experience as a Product Owner, IT Business Analyst, or Project Manager in B2B SaaS development, with strong product ownership, customer discovery, technical understanding of software, APIs, integrations, or platform architecture, and data-informed decision-making. Candidates should have excellent stakeholder communication skills and live within commuting distance of Leiden; e-commerce or marketplace experience, AI/ML experience, and a Product Owner certification are advantageous.
